SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • Do not expose the product to rain or moisture – the risk of fire and/or electric shock.
  • Never open the casing – risk of electric shock. Service must only be carried out by qualified personnel.
  • Do not leave the batteries in the battery compartment for too long. Remove the batteries to avoid leakage and damage.
  • To ensure normal functionality and a long life span, do not expose the appliance to extreme temperatures or high relative humidity.
  • Never put the appliance in the bathroom, or near a stove or radiator.
  • If the appliance does not work correctly take it to the nearest service center. Do not attempt to repair it yourself.

FUNCTIONS

  • One or three bright white LEDs

  • Emergency charging of the mobile phone
  • Charging/discharging protection
  • Can be supplied with power with a hand crank, which drives the built-in generator, or by solar energy through exposure to sunlight. Connect the product to a computer with a USB cable for USB charging with 5 VDC.
  • Protection rating IPX3 (splashproof)

USE

USING THE RADIO

  1. Turn the volume dial clockwise to start the product and set the required volume.
  2. Select frequency band is, FM or WB. Pull out the antenna for the best reception.
  3. Set the required radio station by turning the control dial. The green frequency indicator light goes on when a station is localized.

USING THE TORCH

  1. Press the power switch to switch on the torch.
  2. Press the power switch again to switch off the torch.

SOLAR ENERGY/CRANK/USB PORT

  1. Place the product in sunlight for about 10 to 12 hours. The red status light goes on during charging.

CRANK

  1. Pull out the crank.
  2. Crank clockwise or anticlockwise for 3 to 5 minutes to activate the internal battery before using it for the first time, or if the product has not been used for 60 days or more. The red status light goes on during cranking.
  3. To recharge, crank for 1 minute with at least 130 turns/ minute for 15 to 20 minutes of continuous light with 3 LEDs, 15 to 20 minutes of continuous radio with medium-high volume, or 3 to 5 minutes of talk time.

CHARGING WITH USB PORT

  1. Lift the rubber cap on the side of the product
  2. Connect one end of the charger cable to the micro USB port on the product and the other end to a USN port on a computer. The red status lamp goes on when the battery is charging.

CHARGING MOBILE PHONE, PDA, MP3 PLAYER ETC.

  1. Lift the rubber cap on the side of the product.
  2. Connect one end of the charger cable to the standard USB port on the product and the other end to the external device to be charged.

CHARGING/DISCHARGING PROTECTION

  1. The red status lamp goes off when the battery is fully charged.
  2. The charging is stopped automatically on overcharging or short-circuiting.
  3. The power supply function is deactivated automatically when the battery voltage drops below 2.5 V.

MAINTENANCE

  • Clean the outside of the product with a damp cloth.
  • Clean the glass cover with detergent for a camera lens or the equivalent.
  • Do not clean the product with abrasive agents or solvents.
  • This product is not watertight, just splashproof (protection rating IPV3). Do not immerse the product in water or any other liquid.
  • Before using it for the first time, or if the product has not been used for 60 days or more, expose the solar panel to sunlight or crank it for 3 to 5 minutes to charge the internal battery.
