Motion Sensor Functions

The motion sensor has 3 control knobs located on the underneath of the motion sensor. The function of each knob is de-scribed below. The setup procedure below describes the process of configuring the motion so that operates correctly .
Sens (Sensitivity)
This knob controls the sensitivity of the motion sensor. Rotating the knob fully clockwise configure he motion sensor so that it is more sensitive to moving objects. If the knob is set to the middle the motion sensor will detect a human adult and not sense the moment of a dog or cat.
Lux (Light Level)
This knob determines at what light levels the motion sensor will become active. Rotating the knob fully clockwise will enable the motion sensor to operate in the daytime and if set to fully counter clockwise the motion sensor will only be active during complete darkness.
Time
This knob determines how long the flood light will stay on when the motion sensor is triggered. The maximum time setting is approximately 5 minutes and the minimum time setting is approximately 5 seconds .
Setup

  1. Install and apply power to the flood light
  2. Rotate the LUX knob fully clockwise so that the flood light can operate during daytim and night time .
  3. Rotate the TIME knob fully counter clockwise so that time setting is set to minimum (5 seconds)
  4. Turn the SENS knob fully counter clockwise so that motion sensor is set to maximum sensitivity.
  5. Aim the motion sensor to the desired target area .
  6. Have a person stand in approximately in the centre of the target area and get them move slowly. Normally moving ones arms up and down is sufficient.
  7. Slowly rotate the SENS knob clockwise until the flood light turns on
  8. Adjust the LUX knob so that the motion sensor is activated at the desired light level for example dusk or at full darkness.
  9. Turn the TIME knob so that flood light stays for the desired time after the motion sensor is activated .
