Product Information
The Roth Minishunt is a controller used for regulating temperature in heating systems. It is designed to be connected to a 230V power supply and can pair with a room thermostat to control the pump and actuator of the heating system. The controller has a glass fuse of WT 6.3 A (5 x 20 mm) and requires batteries to operate.
Installation
Before installation, switch off the 230V power supply to prevent the risk of
fatal electric shock from touching live connections.
Follow the steps below for installation:
- Connect the controller to a 230V power supply.
- Connect the 230V pump output to brown (L) and blue (N) cables, with a maximum load of 0.5A. Ensure that the cables are secured.
- Connect the actuator to brown (L) and blue (N) cables. Use Roth Project actuators 230V 1 Watt, HVAC no. 7466275430. Ensure that the cables are secured.
- Insert the glass fuse WT 6.3 A (5 x 20 mm) after switching off the 230V power supply.
- Pair/register the room thermostat with the controller by pressing the registration button on the left side of the control unit and then pressing the registration button on the room thermostat.
- Once the thermostat is connected to the zone/channel, the temperature is displayed on the thermostat.
Usage
To use the Roth Minishunt, follow the instructions below:
- Separate the room thermostat from the base.
- Insert the included batteries, ensuring the correct +/- polarity.
- Mount the backplate on the wall, then slide the thermostat onto the backplate.
- In sleep mode, the current temperature is displayed. To set/change the temperature, press the < > buttons and confirm by pressing the button or wait for 5 seconds.
- To switch between temperature and relative humidity display, briefly press the button.
- To view battery level, select Bat. The display will flash, then confirm within 5 seconds to show the battery level in percentage %.
- To lock the buttons, select Yes by using one of the buttons and confirm by pressing or wait for 5 seconds. To unlock, press and hold the < > buttons for 10 seconds.

WARNING
Risk of fatal electric shock from touching live connections. Before working on
the controller always switch off the 230V power supply and prevent it from
being accidentally switched on.
Must be mounted on a flat surface, screws max. Ø 3 mm.
- A: Connect to 230V power, Controller is ready for pairing of sensor. Please see thermostat/sensor operation manual.
- B: 230V pump output, max. load 0,5 A. Connect “brown” to L and “blue” to N. Cables must be secured.
- C: Actuator. Connect “brown” to L and “blue” to N. Cables must be secured. Use Roth Project actuators 230V 1 Watt, HVAC no. 7466275430.
Glass fuse WT 6.3 A (5 x 20 mm). Turn off 230V power before replacing.
Connect to 230V power, Controller is ready for pairing of sensor.

In the event of a power failure, the connection between the room thermostat and the receiver is restored within 5-10 minutes.
Roth Room Thermostat

Remove screw and slide backplate off.

Insert batteries (included), be aware of +/- polarity.

Mount backplate on the wall (screws not incl.) thermostat slides onto back plate.
Pairing/registering the thermostat. All connections must be made to the
Controller (pump, actuator before start-up. Please see controller manual for
details. Press the registration button on the left side of the control unit
and then press the registration button on the room thermostat. The temperature
is now shown in the display.
Attention! Do not press the buttons on the front of the thermostat whilst
pushing the pairing button on the rear.
In the event
of a power failure, the connection between the room thermostat and the
receiver is restored within 5-10 minutes.
Operation of Thermostat
In order to enter MENU press and hold () button. Use < > buttons to navigate between MENU settings.

In sleepmode the current temperature is displayed. To set/change temperature press < > buttons. Confirm by pressing or wait 5 sec.

You can switch between temperature display and relative humidity display by briefly pressing the button.

You can choose between three modes on the ther-mostat. After changing the setpoint with < / > the actual setting is flashing: “Con” means setpoint is due constantly.

“5H” means that the desired setpoint will be valid for the next 5 hours, after this the thermostat will return to it’s normal mode. “OFF” means that it follows the mode preset on the Controller.

The chosen mode can also be seen on the Con-troller display. Changing the mode ”Con”, ”5h” and ”OFF” is done using the buttons < / > when the mode is flashing.

Enables you to view battery level. Select “Bat”, the display flashes. Confirm within 5 sec. after which the battery level is displayed in percentage %.

Enables you to lock the buttons. Select “Yes” by using one of the buttons < >, confirm by pressing or wait 5 seconds. When the lock is active, the keys are locked automatically after 10 seconds of in-activity. To unlock, press and hold the buttons < > for 10 sec. The keys are accessible when the display returns to showing the current temperature. The key lock is activated until you inactivate it in the menu.

Enables you to return the room thermostat to the factory setting. Select “dEF” and the display flashes and shows the selected value. Select/con-firm (Yes) with < > buttons within 5 sec. Confirm by pressing or wait 5 sec. and the factory settings has be restored.

Enables you to view the sensor calibration value. After selecting ”Cal” the screen flashes for 3 sec. and the value is displayed. Value can be changed on the Controller, please see user manual.

Enables you to return from the MENU manually. After selecting “rEt” the screen flashes for 5 sec. and returns to view of the current temperature.
