DO NOT WORK ON TIPTOES

  • Keep your feet firmly on the ground and maintain your balance at all times.
  • This allows for better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.

DRESS PROPERLY

  •  Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery.
  • Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts.
  • Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
  • If a device meant for extracting and collecting dust can be connected to the power tool, make sure they are connected tightly and properly used.
  • The use of these devices can reduce dust hazards.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY

  • The plug of the power tool must match the socket.
  • Never modify the plug in any way.
  • Do not use any adapter plug with earthed power tools.
  • Unmodified plugs and matching sockets will reduce the risk of electric shock.
  • Avoid body contact with grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, cookers and refrigerators.
  • There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is grounded.
  • Do not expose the power tool to rain or wet conditions.
  • Water entering the power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.

DO NOT ABUSE THE CORD

  • Never use the cord to carry, lift or unplug the power tool.
  • Keep the cord away from sources of heat, oil, sharp edges and moving parts.
  • Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
  • When operating the power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use.
  • The use of an extension cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
  • If the use of a power tool in a damp area is unavoidable, use a device that minimises the risk of electric shock (RCD).

AVOID ACCIDENTAL STARTING OF THE POWER TOOL

  • Make sure the switch is in the ”off” position before connecting the power tool to a power source or when carrying the tool.
  • Carrying the power tool with your finger on the switch or keeping the switch in the ”on” position before you plug in the power tool can cause accidents.
  • Remove wrenches and other tools from the power tool before starting it.
  • Neglecting to remove a wrench or other tool from the power tool before starting it can cause personal injury.

USE AND CARE OF THE POWER TOOL

  • Do not force the power tool.
  • Use the appropriate power tool for your application.
  • Use of appropriate power tools only for the task for which they were designed will ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Do not use the power tool if the switch cannot be positioned to the ”off” and ”on” positions.
  • Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
  • Remove the plug from the power supply and/or battery before making any adjustments, changing accessories or storing the power tool.
  • Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.

STORE THE POWER TOOL

  • Store the power tool out of reach of children and do not allow the handling of the power tool to persons unfamiliar with tool or these instructions.
  • This power tool is dangerous in the hands of untrained operators.

ENSURE THAT THE CORDLESS ANGLE GRINDER IS IN GOOD CONDITION

  • Ensure that all the screws in the cordless angle grinder are perfectly tightened.
  • In cold climates or when the cordless grinder has not been used for a considerable amount of time, allow the cordless grinder to warm up by leaving it to run empty for a few minutes, to ensure that all internal components are perfectly lubricated.
  • Make sure that all installed accessories are perfectly fitted in place.

BEFORE STARTING WORK

  • Make sure that the cordless angle grinder is firmly supported before use.
  • Check that no one is standing beneath you when using the cordless angle grinder in high areas.

  • Some materials that were worked with may contain chemicals or toxic components.
  • Avoid inhaling these substances or allowing them to come into contact with your skin.
  • Use PPE designed for protection against these substances.

READ THE INSTRUCTIONS

  • Before starting the cordless angle grinder, we recommend that you carefully read all of the instructions as indicated.
  • Please respect all regulations regarding the prevention of accidents, health and safety directives, laws and applicable restrictions for work places.
  • The cordless angle grinder must only be used by persons who have been properly instructed in its use and only for the purposes for which it has been designed.

POWER SUPPLY

  • Make sure the power supply is adapted to the requirements shown on the information panel of the cordless grinder (1).

  • Using the motor at low voltage will make it operate slowly.

  • This will reduce performance and may cause the motor to overheat.

BATTERY AND CHARGER

  • If the battery housing is damaged, do not insert it in the charger, as there may be a risk of electric shock.
  • The charger and battery are designed to work together, do not attempt to charge the battery with any other charger.
  • Do not expose the charger to damp conditions.
  • The charger is designed for use with rechargeable batteries, any other type of use may pose a fire risk or cause electric shocks.
  • Keep the charger away from sources of heat.
  • Do not open the charger, incorrect reassembly may increase the risk of fire, explosion or electric shocks.
  • Do not allow liquids to enter the charger, as they may cause electric shock.
  • Do not store the charger or the batteries in temperatures higher than 40ºC.
  • Never use the charger at a different voltage to that specified by the manufacturer.
  • The batteries must not be opened under any circumstances.
  • Do not attempt to burn the batteries, even when they are empty or damaged, as they may explode.
  • Do not charge the batteries in temperatures lower than 4.5 ͦC or higher than 40.5 ͦC to prevent damage.
  • Both the charger and battery may heat up during the charging process, this is normal and it does not indicate a problem.
  • The battery must be recharged when it does not produce as much energy as it previously did, do not use batteries in these conditions.
  • Disconnect the charger from the power socket when it does not have a battery inserted.

REMOVING THE BATTERY

  • To remove the battery, hold the cordless angle grinder firmly by the handle, press the battery catch and remove it (2).

CHARGING THE BATTERY

  • Insert the charger jack into the socket on the battery.
  • Connect the charger to the power supply.
  • It will take between 2.5 and 3 hours to charge the battery fully at 20 ͦC.
  • If the battery overheats as a result of direct sunlight or other factors, the indicator light may not illuminate.
  • In this case, leave the battery to cool and then restart the charging process.
  • Disconnect the charger from the power supply.
  • Hold the charger firmly and pull the battery out, putting it away in a suitable place.
  • Due to their internal chemical composition, batteries that have never been used or left unused for long periods of time may not charge fully during their first or second use.
  • This is a temporary phenomenon, to ensure optimal battery capacity, repeat this process three times with each of them.

DISC ASSEMBLY

  • Unplug the battery first.

  • Press the block button (3).

  • The block button should only be used for mounting and dismounting of the grinding discs.

  • Loosen the disc tightening bolt using with the provided accessory (4).

  • Verify that the disc diameter has the correct dimensions.

  • Before operating the cordless grinder, ensure that the disc is well tightened (7).

SAFETY SWITCH

  • When starting the cordless angle grinder, hold it with both hands since the torque of the motor can cause the operator to lose control of the tool.

  • The safety switch is designed to prevent accidental starts of the tool.

  • To start the cordless angle grinder, press the release button located on the handle with your thumb and pull the trigger simultaneously (10).

  • The safety switch will engage automatically.

MAINTENANCE

  • The cordless angle grinder has been designed to work for a long time with minimum maintenance.
  • Optimal performance depends on correct care of the cordless angle grinder and regular cleaning.
  • To prevent accidents, always unplug the cordless angle grinder from the power source before cleaning or performing any maintenance.
  • The cordless grinder may be cleaned effectively using compressed air after each use.
  • If compressed air is not available, use a brush to remove dust from the cordless grinder.
  • Motor ventilation vents and switch levers must be kept clean and free of obstructing foreign matter.
  • Do not attempt to clean by inserting pointed objects through openings.
  • Certain cleaning agents and solvents damage plastic parts, those include gasoline, carbon tetrachloride, chlorinated cleaning solvents, ammonia and household cleaners containing ammonia.
  • Do not use any of these to clean the cordless angle grinder.
  • Check moving parts for misalignment or binding, ensure that there are no broken parts or other conditions that may affect the operation of the power tool.
  • The power tool must be repaired before use if it is damaged.
  • Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
  • Use the power tool and accessories, etc. according to these instructions and in the manner provided for the particular type of power tool, taking into account the conditions in the working area and the workpiece.
  • The use of power tools for applications other than those intended could have dangerous consequences.
  • Please ensure that the power tool is serviced only by qualified personnel or at an authorised repair facility using only identical replacement parts.
  • This will ensure the safety of the operator and the proper function of the power tool.

ENVIRONMENTAL DISPOSAL

In order to avoid damages on transportation, the tool has to be delivered in solid packaging. Packaging as well as the unit and accessories are made of recyclable materials and can be disposed accordingly. The tool’s plastics components are marked according to their material, which makes it possible to remove environmental friendly and differentiated because of available collection facilities.

In observance of European Directive 2002/96/EC on waste electrical and electronic equipment and its implementation in accordance with national law, electric tools that have reached the end of their life must be collected separately and returned to an environmentally compatible recycling facility.

The power tools have been manufactured according to strict standards, set by our company, which are aligned with the respective European quality standards. The power tools of our company are provided with a warranty period of 24 months for non-professional use, 12 months for professional use and 12 months for batteries and chargers. The warranty is valid from the date of purchase of the product. Proof of the warranty right is the purchase document of the tool (retail receipt or invoice). Under no circumstances shall the company cover the relevant cost of spare parts and respective required working hours unless a copy of the purchase document is presented. In case the repair has to be done by our service department the cost of transportation (to and from) is entirely borne by the sender (client). The tools must be sent for repair to the company or to an authorized workshop in the appropriate way and means of transport.

WARRANTY EXEMPTIONS AND RESTRICTIONS:
  1. Spare parts that wear out naturally as a consequence of being used (brushes, cables, switches, chargers, chokes etc.).
  2. Tools damaged as a result of non-compliance with the instructi ons of the manufacturer.
  3. Tools poorly maintained.
  4. Use of improper lubricants or accessories.
  5. Tools given to third entities free of charge.
  6. Damage due to an electrical connection at a voltage other than that indicated on the appliance plate.
  7. Connection to a non-earthed power supply.
  8. Change in current voltage.
  9. Damage resulting from the use of salty water (e.g., washing machines, pumps).
  10. Damage or malfunction resulting from improper cleaning procedure of the tool.
  11. Contact of the tool with chemicals, or damage as a result of moisture or corrosion.
  12. Tools that have been modified or opened by unauthorized personnel.
  13. Tools used for rent.

The warranty covers only the free of charge replacement of the component that presents a manufacturing defect or material failure. In case of lack of a specific spare part the company reserves the right to replace the tool with another corresponding model. After all warranty procedures have been concluded, the warranty period of the tool shall not be extended or renewed. The spare parts or tools that are replaced remain in the possession of our company. Requirements, other than those mentioned in this warranty form, regarding power tools repair or damage thereof, do not apply. Greek law and relative regulations apply to this warranty.

WARRANTY
This appliance is a quality product. It was designed in compliance with current technical standards and made carefully using normal, good quality materials. The warranty period is 24 months for non-professional use and 12 months for professional use and commences on the date of purchase, which can be verified by the receipt, invoice or delivery note. During this warranty period all functional errors, which, despite the careful treatment described in our operating manual, are verifiably due to material flaws, will be rectified by our after-sales service staff. The warranty takes the form that defective parts will be repaired or replaced with perfect parts free of charge at our discretion. Replaced parts will become our property. Repair work or the replacement of individual parts will not extend the warranty period not will it result in a new warranty period being commenced for the appliance. No separate warranty period will commence for spare parts that may be ted. We cannot offer a warranty for damage and defects on appliances or their parts caused by the use of excessive force, improper treatment and servicing. This also applies for failures to comply with the operating manual and the installation or spare and accessory parts that are not included in our range of products. In the event of interference with of modifications to the appliance by unauthorized persons, the warranty will be rendered void. Damages that are attributable to improper handling, over loading, or natural wear and tear are excluded from the guarantee. Damages caused by the manufacturer or by a material defect will be corrected at no charge by repair or by providing spare parts. The prerequisite is that the equipment is handed over assembled, and complete with the proof of sale and guarantee. For a guarantee claim, only use the original packaging. That way, we can guarantee quick and smooth guarantee processing Please send us the appliances post-paid or request a Freeway sticker. Unfortunately that are not postpaid. The warranty does not cover parts that are subject to natural wear and tear.
