TUNING MACHINE TENSION ADJUSTMENT

DONNER SAVVY G Smart Guitar - fig

Facing the front tuning peg of the guitar, clockwise rotation can make the strings loose, and counterclockwise rotation can make the strings tight.

HOW TO TUNE A GUITAR

  1. Long press the power button to turn it on, then select Auto mode
  2. Tune the six strings to standard tone in turn. Standard tuning defines the string pitches as notes E2A2D3G3B3E4 Note: When tuning, you should rotate the tuning pegs slowly. Otherwise, the string will break.

CHANGING THE STRING

It is important to adjust the strings carefully when changing strings for the first time. Do not wind guitar strings too tightly, otherwise, it will cause damage to the guitar’s body and may cause injury to the player.DONNER SAVVY
G Smart Guitar - fig 1

  1. At first, please put the new string into the bridge hole and the ball end of the string should be put into the hole about 1-2 inches deep (As shown in FIG.1).
  2. Then put the bridge pin into the bridge hole to fix the string. (As shown in FIG.2).
  3. a. Take the string through the tuning peg and reserve a distance.
    b. Twist the string half a circle around the tuning post from the bottom in the opposite direction (Note: Smoothly twist the string 4, 5, 6 in a clockwise motion while stringl, 2, 3 in a counterclockwise motion).
    c. Then bend backward this string from the top and start to wrap the part of the string around the post. The string should loop and crimp at least 2-3 times.
    d. Please cut any excess string using wire cutters after tuning to the standard tone.

TRUSS ROD ADJUSTMENT

DONNER SAVVY G Smart Guitar - gitter

  1.  Please make any adjustments gradually. We suggest that the adjustment time should be completed within 5-10 minutes, and make sure to check the curvature after each 1/2 turn of the truss rod nut.
  2. Adjust the curvature of the neck. The curvature of the neck should normally be slightly concave. Turning the nut clockwise can tighten the rod, which can correct the problem that the neck is too concave and the string is too high. Turning the nut counter-clockwise can loosen the rod, which can correct the problem that the neck is too convex to result in buzzing.

OTHER NOTES
– Avoid leaving it unused for a long time. Regularly playing it can keep the sound of the guitar.
– It is necessary to loosen the strings to avoid neck deformation if it is unused for a long time.
– The guitar neck may deform by temperature, resulting in the pickup height from the string distance changes. Guitar pickup height affects tone due to the distance between the pickups and the guitar strings. We recommend that you regularly check the height of pickup and string with calipers and use the M2 cross screwdriver to adjust the height to 1mm.DONNER SAVVY G Smart Guitar -
