Product Information

The Sciaire Portable is a comprehensive solution to remove contaminants from the air in small spaces. It incorporates a 3-in-1 filter with a plasma generator to efficiently filter the air, removing particulate matter. It can also absorb harmful chemicals such as formaldehyde, smoke, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and other harmful gases. The device is available in several colors and has a model number CAHP-03XX09 with XX being the product color code. The color code for white is WH and for black is BL. The device is designed to be portable, allowing you to take it with you wherever you go.

Quick Start

Follow these steps to use the device:

Connect power cord to device and plug into USB port.
Press the power symbol for one second to turn device on and
press again to switch purification speed:
- Low Speed
- High Speed
To power off, press power symbol for two seconds.

How It Works

The Sciaire Portable has four stages:

Pre-Filter: The pre-filter captures large particulate matters including dust, pollen, and hair.
EPA Filter: The Efficiency Particulate Air (EPA) filter captures particles down to 0.3 microns in diameter.
Activated Carbon Filter: The activated carbon filter traps odors, gases, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Plasma Generators: The plasma generators generate positive ions and negative ions that are diffused into the air. These ions keep killing bacteria and viruses in the room. As the room is filled with negative oxygen ions, you will enjoy a fresh smell – like the forest after a rain shower.

Unpacking and Setup

To set up the device:

Remove the unit from the box and check that all the items shown in Figure 1 are included.
Retain the packaging for storing the unit or in the event it must be shipped back for service.

THIS MACHINE IS NOT INTENDED FOR USE BY CHILDREN. Keep away from small children and pets.
Not intended for outdoor use. Do not use outdoors.
Only use the device after fully assembled.
Only use this device with supplied accessories.

Ensure the USB outlet used is not loose or damaged. A poor electrical connection can result in electric shock, overheating of the device or damage to the device or the power cord.
Disconnect all power to the device before cleaning it.
The device is not user serviceable. Do not attempt to repair the product yourself. In the event of failure, contact customer support for repair or replacement.
This device complies with the maximum allowable concentration of ozone of 0.050 parts per million by volume (ppmv) in a 24 hour period.
The device is not to be operated by any supply sources other than those specified here. The device is to be used only with the following products: 1) Information and Communication Technology Equipment; or 2) A Class 2 Power Unit.

How It Works

The Sciaire Portable is suitable for use in places with small space, using a combination of plasma technology and 3-in-1 filter to effectively filter air with impurities. This device intakes the air 360o all-around. The air through
the 3-in-1 filter which combines pre-filter, EPA filter and activated carbon filter together, the air will be disinfected by centrifugal fan and plasma generator components.
After filtering and disinfection, the filtered air comes from the upper end. It can efficiently filter the air in small spaces such as car: with function of filtration to the PM2.5 micro-particles, adsorption and decomposition of formaldehyde, second-hand smoke, viruses and other harmful gases, dust removal, disinfection in one.

Stage 1: Pre-Filter

Unpacking and Setup

Remove the unit from the box and check that all the items shown in Figure 1 are included. It is a good idea to retain the packaging for storing the unit or in the event it must be shipped back for service.
The unit is shipped with the 3-in-1 filter sealed inside a protective plastic film. Detach the bottom cover and remove the 3-in-1 filter from the plastic wrap, then replace it inside the unit and replace the bottom cover.
Locate the unit on a flat, solid surface in proximity to an electrical outlet.
Connect the USB power cord to the unit and lead the power cord to the outlet. Make sure the power cord is out of the way, is not a tripping hazard, and is out of the reach of children and pets.

Congratulations! You are now ready to enjoy clean safe air using the Sciaire Portable.

Replacement Filters

Only use genuine DH Lifelabs replacement filters with your Sciaire Portable. Use of any other filters may compromise the proper operation of your unit and potentially void your warranty.

Cleaning and Maintenance

It is recommended to replace the filter every 6 months or when the power symbol has a red indication light. NOTE: The filter is not washable. Do not immerse it in water.

Step One
Make sure the device is OFF and unplugged.
Step Two
Twist open and remove the bottom cover from the device.
Step Three
Remove the old filter and replace it with the new one.
Step Four
Attach the bottom cover and twist it close.

Installation Guidance

Connecting the car adapter and installing the unit

Step One
Insert the car adapter into the accessory socket and connect the USB plug to the car adapter.
Step Two
The device has a power port to connect the electricity power for daily use or in car. The car adapter and/or connecting section could be hot while in use and/or right after use.
Step Three
Put the device in a flat and solid place or in the cup holder of the car.
NOTE: Be sure to remove any dirt from the accessory socket. Failure to do so could cause faultily contact or ﬁre.

Cautions on wiring the car adapter

Do not let the cord touch or get caught in the seat rails, shift lever or other moving parts.
Wire in such a way that the cord does not get in the way of the driver.
Consider the movement of the seats (forward/ backward, swiveling or reclining) when wiring.
Do not bend the cord extremely or compress it.

Cautions on installation

Separate the main unit from electronic key of vehicle by 30cm or more. Otherwise, it may interfere with electron-ic wave of main unit and the electronic key may not be recognized.
Be sure to place in a stable location. (Do not put in a external cup holder or other unstable place).
Do not obstruct the air inlet or outlet.
Keep the unit away from the vehicle’s in-glass antenna. Failure to do so could cause interference on the radio.
If there should be interference on a TV or radio located in the same car, or if an atomic clock in the car should not display the time properly, move the unit away from the TV, radio, atomic clock, etc.
If the unit is installed directly in front of the car climate control’s outlets, the unit could get hot when the climate control is operating in the heating mode.
The unit could get scratched by the vibrations of the vehicle, etc.
It might be impossible to use for some types of cars.

Product Warranty

This 2 year limited warranty applies to repair or replacement of product found to be defective in material or workmanship. This warranty does not apply to damage resulting from commercial, abusive, unreasonable use
or supplemental damage. Defects that are the result of normal wear and tear will not be considered manufacturing defects under this warranty.

At its option, D&HLifelabs will repair or replace this product if it is found to be defective in material or workmanship. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from any unauthorized attempts to repair or from any use not in accordance with the instruction manual. This warranty does not cover the filter except for material or workmanship defects.
