IoT Installation and Registration via ESS Pro App
The Ecoer Smart Inverter (ESI) Unitary systems come equipped with remote monitoring and self-diagnostics technology designed to save dealers’ time when installing and servicing. Follow the below steps for IoT installation and troubleshooting:
Part A. IoT Installation and Troubleshooting
- Turn off the power supply for the condensing unit prior to installing the IoT device.
- Choose one side of the condensing unit that is further away from the wall to hang the IoT device. Use screws to tighten the device and belts to tie up the cable.
- Unscrew the cable locker cap and securely fasten the waterproof joint to the reserved hole (plug has to be removed).
- Plug the male blue terminal into CN11 (IoT) connector on the main control board of the condensing unit.
- Power ON the condensing unit and check if the IoT device is working properly. The normal working state of the IoT device should be the blue LED (No.1) is blinking with other LEDs light OFF.
Refer to the LED indications table below to troubleshoot any issues with the IoT device:

If the IoT device boots failed, replace it with a new one. If the problem disappears after replacing the IoT device, check the display of No.3 LED after two (2) minutes. If the problem persists,replace the PCB of the condensing unit. Confirm LTE signal around the condensing unit if the IoT device cannot work, and install AT&T signal booster if needed. If the ESS Plan is expired, subscribe to extended monitoring service by confirming the ESS Plan status with Ecoer Customer Service Team.

Be sure to turn off the power supply for condensing unit prior to install the
IoT device. Refer to the following steps to install this device.
- To keep the best 4G LTE network connectivity, choose one side of condensing unit that is further away from the wall to hang the IoT device. Use screw to tighten the device and belts to tie up the cable.
- Unscrew the cable locker cap and securely fasten the waterproof joint to the reserved hole (plug has to be removed).
- Plug the male blue terminal into CN11 (IoT) connector on main control board of condensing unit.

With the IoT device, Ecoer Inc. provides an easy way for dealers to help their
customers complete registration via ESS Pro App in just minutes. Then dealers
can monitor units’ live data and perform remote field settings for the
condensing unit. Working alongside the Ecoer Customer Service Team, the dealer
can guarantee the installation and servicing quality.
Alternatively, homeowner/dealer/builder can register at
www.ecoer.com. But it will not allow the dealer to
monitor the system.

Steps of warranty registration *
- Create an ecoer account
- Add Unit (Register a new AC/HP)
- Sign an agreement with homeowner
- Scan/Input serial numbers to submit
