Product Usage Instructions

Connecting the IoT Tool Kit

  1. Ensure the power supply for the condensing unit is turned off before connecting the IoT Tool Kit.
  2. Locate SW1 on the main control board and keep the fourth switch in the OFF position (Factory default).
  3. Plug the blue connector into CN 11 (IoT) terminal on the main control board of the condensing unit.
  4. If required, hang up and fasten the Tool Kit securely.
  5. Power on the condensing unit and verify if the Tool Kit is working properly.

Note: The Tool Kit cannot be used to register any Ecoer products using the ESS App.

Tool Kit Status Check
The Tool Kit has LED indicators to provide status information:

  • Always OFF: Power off
  • Always ON: Tool Kit is starting
  • Blinking: Tool Kit is working

2| Red| LTE Connection|

  • Always OFF: LTE disconnected
  • Always ON: LTE connected
  • Blinking: Tool Kit is starting

3| Green| Activation Status|

  • Blinking 1: Synchronous with the Blue LED. Indicates the
    activation is running.

  • Blinking 2: Faster than the Blue LED. Indicates the activation
    has failed.

Monitor the Data

  1. Send the serial number of the Tool Kit purchased from the distributor and your Ecoer account to support@ecoer.com.
  2. Ecoer administrator will assign monitoring access for your Ecoer account.
  3. Check the AC List on the ESS Pro App after receiving the notice.

Upgrade Tool Kit
To upgrade the Tool Kit, follow these steps:

  1. Connect the power adapter and patch cord to the Tool Kit as instructed.
  2. Power on the Tool Kit.
  3. Contact the Ecoer Service Team for remote software update assistance.

FAQ

  • Q: Can I use the Tool Kit to register Ecoer products using the ESS App?
    A: No, the Tool Kit cannot be used for product registration through the ESS App.

  • Q: How do I monitor the data from the Tool Kit?
    A: To monitor data, you need to send the Tool Kit’s serial number and your Ecoer account information to support@ecoer.com. The Ecoer administrator will assign monitoring access to your account. Once done, you can check the AC List on the ESS Pro App.

  • Q: How can I upgrade the Tool Kit’s software?
    A: To upgrade the Tool Kit’s software, connect the power adapter and patch cord as instructed. Power on the Tool Kit and contact the Ecoer Service Team for remote software update assistance.

INSTRUCTION

  1. Be sure to turn off power supply for condensing unit prior to connect the IoT Tool Kit.
  2. Plug the blue connector into the CN11 (IoT) terminal in the main control board of the condensing unit.
  3. Hang up and fasten the Tool Kit if required.
  4. Power on the condensing unit and check if the Tool Kit is working properly.

NOTE: Cannot use this Tool Kit to register any ecoer products by ESS App.

NOTE: DO NOT set cooling or heating mode from thermostat when the Tool Kit is in activating process.

REMARKS

  • The Blue and Green LED (the 1st and 3rd) will flash together when the activation is running.
  • The Green one will turn off after successful activation. Contact Ecoer Service Team when you meet any failure.
  • The Red LED shows the LTE connection. Ignore the Red LED status when you are using this Tool Kit.

  1. Send the serial number of Tool Kit you bought from distributor and ecoer account to support@ecoer.com
  2. Ecoer administrator assigns the monitoring access for your ecoer account.
  3. Check the AC List on ESS Pro App after you get the notice.

Upgrade Tool Kit

Connect the power adapter, patch cord and Tool Kit as below. Power on the Tool Kit, contact Ecoer Service Team to remotely update the software.
