Safety instructions

PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE UNIT AND KEEP THEM FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
WARNING

  • DO NOT INJEST BATTERIES: RISK OF CHEMICAL BURNS.
  • This unit contains a button-cell battery. If the battery is swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns and death within 2 hours.
  • Keep new and used batteries out of the reach of children.
  • Should the battery compartment not close properly, stop using the unit and keep it out of the reach of children.
  • If you ever suspect that batteries may have been swallowed or inserted into any part of the body, please seek immediate medical advice.
  • Risk of explosion! The batteries must not be recharged, otherwise reactivated, disassembled, incinerated or short-circuited.
  • Should the batteries leak, use a cloth to remove them from the battery compartment. Dispose of the batteries in accordance with current regulations. If acid leaks from the batteries, avoid contact with the skin, eyes and mucous membranes.
  • Do not allow children to replace batteries without adult supervision.
  • Used batteries should be immediately removed from the unit and disposed of properly.
  • Remove the batteries whenever you are not planning on using the unit for an extended period of time.

Product overview

  • Unpack the unit. Remove all the labels from the unit.
    Check that the unit is complete and in a good condition.
    If the unit is damaged or faulty, do not use it and take it to your retailer or after-sales service centre.

  • Keep all packaging out of the reach of children. There is a risk of accidents if children play with packaging materials.

Use

Replacing the battery

  • Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the product. Pull the insulating tab off the battery.
    Replace the battery whenever Lo appears on the display.

  • Remove the old battery using a pointed object.

  • Insert a new battery according to the correct polarity.

Weighing

This unit may be used by children aged 8 years and above, persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities, and persons with no experience of using or knowledge of the unit, provided they are properly supervised or receive prior instruction regarding how to safely use the unit and understand the risks involved. Children should not play with the unit. User cleaning and maintenance operations must not be performed by unsupervised children. Attach the strap to the luggage handle. Securely attach the belt hook to the triangular ring.

  • Press NOT OK to turn on the product before lifting the luggage.

  • When zero appears on the display, gently lift the product. Make sure the product is horizontal and wellbalanced. The weight of the luggage will be displayed on the screen.
    Product overloaded. Remove the load to avoid damaging the  product. The maximum load is indicated on the product.

  • Press to calibrate the product before saving.
    When zero and T are indicated on the display, the calibration function is active.

  • The weight reading is confirmed after flashing 3 times  (H will appear on the display). Press to reset thedisplayed value to zero.

  • Switch to weighing mode again. The product will automatically turn off if left inactive for 2 minutes.

  • In weighing mode, press and hold for 3 seconds to turn off the product.
    Setting the target value

  • When the unit is on, press and hold to start setting the target value. Press and  EN 50419 :2006 L (briefly) to increase or decrease the value. Press and hold to save the setting.

  • Once set, a red backlight will appear on the screen if the luggage’s weight is above the target value. Converting units of mass (imperial/metric)

  • When the unit is on, press to convert the units of mass. If no operation is performed within 3 seconds, the selected unit will be activated and the product will enter the weighing mode.

Disposing of packaging materials

The packaging materials protect your machine against any damage that may occur during transport. These materials are environmentally-friendly as they can be recycled. Recycling materials conserves raw materials and reduces waste production.

**** This product must not be disposed of or recycled with other household waste when it reaches the end of its useful life.

The product and its packaging should be collected and recycled separately from other waste.

WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH MY WASTE?
Please dispose of your waste in accordance with the advice below to reduce the impact of your new purchase on the environment.
You are legally responsible for separating the waste associated with this product (and any accessories) so that it can be recycled, including any instructions or/or packaging.
Electric and electronic appliances should not be sorted or recycled together with other household waste.
Keep used products and packaging out of the reach of children, as they can pose a safety hazard.
Please retain the instructions and any other notices throughout the service life of the device, and include these documents with the device if it is passed on to third party.
For packaging and other notices, please refer to the recycling instructions on the main packaging, and to the advice available on the Internet.

If you do not have Internet access, please contact your local authority for advice on how to sort and recycle your waste.

For your children’s safety, please store your old devices in a safe place outside your home until they are collected.

**** The batteries must be changed in accordance with current disposal regulations. Please take the used batteries to a dedicated recycling centre, in order for them to be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.

Warranty conditions

This product is guaranteed against faults caused by defects in manufacturing or the materials used for a period of two years, starting from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover defects or damage caused by failure to install the device correctly, incorrect use of the product, or excessive wear and tear. Proof of purchase required.
