BRAVILOR BONAMAT GTBSH Series Thermal Brewer Aurora Filter Coffee Machine
General
The Thermal Brewer Aurora is a filter coffee machine. This machine has been developed especially to brew filter coffee according to the SCAE Gold Cup standard. The Gold Cup standard is driven by the SCAE (Speciality Coffee Association of Europe) to ensure the quality of the brewing process. Important aspects of this process are: grind, contact time, coffee to water ratio, quality of water and brewing temperature.
Programming menu
As every sort of coffee features specific characteristics and taste varies,
the Thermal Brewer Aurora has been equipped with a programming menu. This way
you can adjust the significant settings and optimise the brewing process per
recipe. You only have to do this once, as you can save the recipes onto an
RFID card. With the RFID card you can easily copy the recipes across to other
Aurora units, up to 25 recipes per machine.
Consult the operation instructions to adjust the standard settings and/or
contact your dealer or coffee supplier for more information.
Standard recipes
The Thermal Brewer Aurora offers three recipes as standard: mild roast, regular roast and dark roast. These recipes have been developed with great care and are based on the general coffee grind. The overview on the next page shows all specifications of the brewing process per recipe per volume. You can use this information to start creating new recipes or to adjust the standard settings. The extraction process has been divided in four steps. The settings are shown per recipe per volume per step.
Pump speed
The settings of the pump speed (ml/sec.) are described in the table of recipes. You can adjust the settings per volume per step; you can choose between 20 ml/sec. (low) or 30 ml/sec. (high). The water bypass is programmed as standard at high (30 ml/sec.). The following aspects have been taken into account programming the standard recipes:
- 12% (water) loss;
- 96°C water temperature;
- 62 grams of filter coffee (coarsely ground) per litre water.
You can use the standard recipes. However, we advise everybody to try adjusting the settings for your perfect cup of filter coffee!
