Caution
Never work on a hot vehicle. Serious injury in the form of burns can result if
the vehicle has been in use. Allow vehicle to cool prior to installation.
Always wear eye protection when working on or under any vehicle.

Step 1
Unplug the connector closest to the fire wall on the ECM.
Step 2
Route connector through the wheel-well, remove the plastic top cover and pin
retainer.
Step 3
Route switch through firewall. Locate pin 11 & 35 & push out the plastic plugs
from the top side down. 2011 Duramax’s will sometimes have a yellow wire in
pin 11, that wire is okay to remove or piggyback off of the SOTF wire.
Step 4
Insert the purple wire into pin 11.
Insert the ground wire into pin 35.
Step 5
Reinstall top cover and bottom retainer. Use a zip tie to secure the loom from
your switch to the ECM harness. Feed the harness back through the fender and
into position. Reconnect the harness on the ECM, ensure that locking mechanism
fully cams over. Slide the red lock tab to reengage the lock.
Notice:
Proper switch pin position between the 5th and 6th slot.
Troubleshooting:
To troubleshoot your switch, you will need to use EFI Live software or similiar software to verify that the Fuel Temp Sensor is changing by 10 Degrees for every level.
