Product Information

The Lead & Inline Connectors are accessories designed for connecting LED boards or strips to power sources. There are four types of connectors available: iQ-CLP-LEAD, iQ-CLP-INLINE, iQ-SNP-LEAD, iQ-SNP-INLINE, and Q-NECT- LEAD. These connectors have different wire gauges, voltage, and current ratings to suit different LED boards or strips.

iQ-CLP-LEAD

Product Usage Instructions

iQ-CLP-LEAD

  1. Insert bare wires into wire side of clip.
  2. Clamp down wires between the top clear piece and bottom piece using pliers.
  3. Peel back .5 of adhesive on bottom of LED board to allow proper fit.
  4. Insert LED strip into LED side of clip. Ensure polarity of LED lines up with the polarity of the wire.
  5. Clamp down LED strip between the top clear piece and bottom piece using pliers.

iQ-CLP-INLINE

  1. Peel back .5 of adhesive on bottom of LED board to allow proper fit.
  2. Insert LEDs into clip. Ensure polarity of LED strips line up with each other.
  3. Clamp down LED strip between the top clear piece and bottom piece using pliers.
  4. Clamp down LED strip between the top clear piece and bottom piece using pliers.

iQ-SNP-LEAD

  1. Peel back .5 of adhesive on bottom of LED board to allow proper fit.
  2. Insert LED strip into LED side of clip. Ensure polarity of LED lines up with the polarity of the wire.
  3. Insert wire into wire side of clip. Both sides must be inserted before it is clamped down. Note that wire does not need to be pre-stripped.
  4. Clamp down wires and LED strip with pliers. Black button on top should be flush with clear surface.

iQ-SNP-INLINE

  1. Peel back .5 of adhesive on bottom of LED board to allow proper fit.
  2. Insert LEDs into clip. Ensure polarity of LED strips line up with each other.
  3. Both sides must be inserted before it is clamped down.
  4. Clamp down both LED strips. Top black button on top should be flush with clear surface.

Q-NECT-LEAD

  1. Peel back .5 of adhesive on the bottom of the LED board to allow a proper fit.
  2. Insert the LED strip into the LED side of the connector. Slide the LED strip all the way until the end of the strip touches the connector’s wall. Ensure the polarity of the LED lines up with the polarity of the wire (wire with writing is +24V and wire with grey dashes is negative).

Pliers

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION

  1. Insert bare wires into wire side of clip. NOTE: Wire does not need to be pre-stripped.

  2. Clamp down wires between the top clear piece and bottom piece using pliers.

  3. Peel back .5″ of adhesive on bottom of LED board to allow proper fit.

  4. Insert LED strip into LED side of clip.
    VERY IMPORTANT: Ensure polarity of LED lines up with the polarity of the wire.

  5. Clamp down LED strip between the top clear piece and bottom piece using pliers.

TOOLS TO USE:
Pliers

  1. Peel back .5″ of adhesive on bottom of LED board to allow proper fit.

    VERY IMPORTANT: Ensure polarity of LED strips line up with each other.

  3. Clamp down LED strip between the top clear piece and bottom piece using pliers.

  4. Clamp down LED strip between the top clear piece and bottom piece using pliers.

TOOLS TO USE:
Pliers

  1. Peel back .5″ of adhesive on the bottom of the LED board to allow a proper fit.

  2. Insert LED strip into LED side of the clip.
    VERY IMPORTANT: Ensure the polarity of the LED lines up with the polarity of the wire. Insert wire into wire side of the clip.
    NOTE: Wire does not need to be pre-stripped.

  3. Both sides must be inserted before it is clamped down.

  4. Clamp down wires and LED strip with pliers. Black button on top should be flush with clear surface.

LED BOARD TO LED BOARD

TOOLS TO USE:
Pliers

  1. Peel back .5″ of adhesive on bottom of LED board to allow proper fit.

  2. Insert LEDs into clip.
    VERY IMPORTANT: Ensure polarity of LED strips line up with each other.

  3. Both sides must be inserted before it is clamped down.

  4. Clamp down both LED strips.
    Top Black button on top should be flush with clear surface.

TOOLS TO USE:
Pliers

  1. Peel back .5″ of adhesive on the bottom of the LED board to allow a proper fit.

  2. Insert LED strip into LED side of the connector. Slide the LED strip all the way until the end of the strip touches the wall of the connector.
    VERY IMPORTANT: Ensure polarity of LED lines up with the polarity of the wire.
    NOTE: As a recommendation, wire with writing is +24V and wire with grey dashes is negative.

  3. Press down on the terminals on each side to puncture the strip.

  4. Assembled view

CONNECT TWO LED BOARDS

  • Wire Gauge 20 AWG
  • Voltage & Current 24VDC / 4A maxQ-TRAN-iQ-CLP-LEAD-Lead-Wire-To-LED-Board-fig- \(27\)

TOOLS TO USE:
Pliers

  1. Peel back .5″ of adhesive on the bottom of LED boards to allow a proper fit.

  2. Insert LED strips into each end of the connector.
    VERY IMPORTANT: Ensure the polarity of LED strips lines up with each other.
    NOTE: As a recommendation, the wire with writing is +24V and the wire with grey dashes is negative.

  3. Press down on the terminals. Repeat on second connector.

  4. Assembled view

TOOLS TO USE:
Pliers

  1. Peel back .5″ of adhesive on bottom of LED boards to allow proper fit.

  2. Insert LED strips into each end of the connector.
    VERY IMPORTANT: Ensure the polarity of LED strips line up with each other. Ensure each board stops in the middle of the connection. Metal contact must puncture both boards.

  3. Both sides must be inserted before it is clamped down. Clamp down on each side.

  4. Assembled view

Q-NECT-SCREW-LEAD

LEAD WIRE TO LED BOARD

  • Wire Gauge 22 AWG
  • Voltage & Current 24VDC / 4A max

TOOLS TO USE:
Screwdriver

  1. Peel back .5″ of adhesive on bottom of LED board to allow proper fit.

  2. Insert LED strip into LED side of the connector.
    VERY IMPORTANT: Ensure polarity of LED lines up with the polarity of the wire.
    NOTE: Red wire is +24V, black wire is negative.

  3. Screw down.
    NOTE: Do not overtighten.

  4. Assembled view

TOOLS TO USE:
