PAT Europe 550059 ProPlus Solar Trickle Charger
INTRODUCTION
For your own safety, read this manual carefully before using the product. This solar cell trickle charger helps to avoid battery drain for 12V batteries (e.g. car batteries). When batteries go flat, they may be seriously damaged and may never regain their full power. Please read this manual thoroughly before bringing this device into service. If the device was damaged in transit, please don’t install or use it and contact our dealer.

DESCRIPTION
- Front side: solar panel itself.
- Rear side: with keyhole slots (2) for wall mounting.
- Suction caps: can be attached to the front side for windshield or window mounting.
- Blue LED: indicates the solar panel is receiving enough light to be trickle charging the battery
- Connector for battery clips.
- Connector for cigarette lighter plug.
IMPORTANT!
In some of the vehicles, the cigarette light may not be connected when the
ignition is turned off. In such cases, connect the product directly to the car
battery by means of the battery clips. Connect the black lead to the negative
() pole and the blue lead to the positive (+) pole.
OPERATION
Attach the suction caps to the charger and attach the charger to the inside or outside of the car windshield. Alternatively, you can mount the charger to a wall using the keyhole slots at the rear of the charger Connect the cable to either the cigarette lighter or directly to the battery. As long as there is sufficient sunlight, the charger will produce a small electrical current to trickle charge your battery. The blue LED will flash when the panel is trickle charging the battery The charger will not Overcharge or damage the battery. Similarly, a blocking diode ensures that the charger cannot flatten your battery. Please note that this product is designed to trickle charge batteries to compensate for the natural drainage. It is not intended to recharge a completely discharged battery. Disconnect the charger before starting the car or driving it. The electrical surges from the car engine may damage the charger Some vehicles have tinted windows that seriously affect the performance of the solar charger if it is positioned behind them. For optimum results, place the product outside the vehicle in direct sunlight.
