Product Information AD 1181 BoomBox
The AD 1181 BoomBox is a portable audio device that allows you to play CDs, listen to FM radio, or connect to an external audio source through the AUX input. It has a detachable AC cord for power and can also be powered by 4 C batteries. The device has a built-in tuner, volume controls, and an equalizer for adjusting the sound quality.

- Before using the product please read carefully and always comply with the following instructions. The manufacturer is not responsible for any damages due to any misuse.
- The product is only to be used indoors. Do not use the product for any purpose that is not compatible with its application.
- The applicable voltage is 220-240V~ 50/60Hz.. For safety reasons it is not appropriate to connect multiple devices to one power outlet.
- Please be cautious when using around children. Do not let the children to play with the product. Do not let children or people who do not know the device to use it without supervision.
- WARNING : This device may be used by children over 8 years of age and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or persons without experience or knowledge of the device, only under the supervision of a person responsible for their safety, or if they were instructed on the safe use of the device and are aware of the dangers associated with its operation. Children should not play with the device. Cleaning and maintenance of the device should not be carried out by children, unless they are over 8 years of age and these activities are carried out under supervision.
- After you are finished using the product always remember to gently remove the plug from the power outlet holding the outlet with your hand. Never pull the power cable!!!
- Never put the power cable, the plug or the whole device into the water. Never expose the product to the atmospheric conditions such as direct sun light or rain, etc.. Never use the product in humid conditions.
- Periodically check the power cable condition. If the power cable is damaged the product should be turned to a professional service location to be replaced in order to avoid hazardous situations.
- Never use the product with a damaged power cable or if it was dropped or damaged in any other way or if it does not work properly. Do not try to repair the defected product yourself because it can lead to electric shock. Always turn the damaged device to a professional service location in order to repair it. All the repairs can be done only by authorized service professionals. The repair that was done incorrectly can cause hazardous situations for the user.
- Never put the product on or close to the hot or warm surfaces or the kitchen appliances like the electric oven or gas burner.
- Never use the product close to combustibles.
- Do not let cord hang over edge of counter or touch hot surfaces.
- Never leave the product connected to the power source without supervision. Even when use is interrupted for a short time, turn it off from the network, unplug the power.
- In order to provide additional protection, it is recommended to install residue current device (RCD) in the power circuit, with residual current rating not more than 30 mA. Contact professional electrician in this matter.
- Avoid getting the device wet.
- The device may only be wiped with a dry cloth. Do not use water or cleaning fluids.
- The device should be kept in a dry room.
Product Usage Instructions
- Plug in the detachable AC cord into a standard AC outlet or insert 4 C batteries into the battery compartment.
- Press the Power button (2) to turn on the device. The default mode is FM radio.
- Adjust the function button (6) to select the desired mode: FM, CD or AUX.
- For FM mode, extend the antenna and short press PREV (8) or NEXT (8) to search for available stations.
- For CD mode, open the CD door (1), insert a CD, and press the Play/Pause button (7) to play the CD.
- For AUX mode, connect an external audio source through a Mini Jack 3.5mm Cable to the AUX input (5), and adjust the function button (6) to AUX IN mode.
- Use the control buttons to adjust the volume (4), stop/repeat tracks (3), and skip tracks (8).
- To turn off the device, short press the Power button (2).

Device Use
Setting up the device:

Step 1 Plug the detachable AC cord into a standard AC outlet.
Battery Power:
Requires 4 C batteries, not included. Open the battery compartment at the bottom of the device and insert 4 pieces of C size batteries in the way shown in the battery compartment. -
Step 2 : Press the Power button (2). The device will startup.

Step 3 : Press the Mode/EQ button (6) to pick the desired mode to use.
FM Mode:
- Step 1 : Adjust the Function Button to FM mode. (Extend the FM antenna to improve FM radio reception.)
- Step 2 :Short press PREV (8)or NEXT(8) to jump to the previous or next available station
Playing a CD:
- Step 1 : Open the CD door (1), and place a CD or CD-R/RW INTO THE PLAYER.
- Step 2 : Adjust the Function to CD mode(6).
- Step 3 : Press the Play/Pause(7) Button to begin playing the loaded CD.
Using the Auxiliary Input Audio Source (AUX)(5)
Required Connector Mini Jack 3.5mm Cable (not included)
- Step 1 : Connect a Mini Jack 3.5mm Cable to the Auxiliary Input (AUX)(5) on the unit and the audio output on an MP3 player.
- Step 2 : Adjust the Function to AUX IN (6)mode. Audio played through the connected MP3 player will now be heard through the unit.
Control Definitions
- POWER (2) Standby mode, short press for turn on the unit , and short press again for unit turning off.The unit default at FM when first turn on.
- STOP/REPEAT (3) In FM mode: Short press once to read stored stations, can store 20 stations at most. In CD/USB mode: In play mode, one short press to repeat a sound, second short press to repeat the sound in the file (Note: if the sound in the file, will show ‘FILE’ if no sound in the file, will show ‘ALL’, then follow the third step, third short press to repeat all sounds, forth short press to cancel the function; long press to stop the play. In AUX mode: The button doesn’t work.
- PREV/TUN-/NEXT/TUN+ (8) In FM mode: One short press, The frequency move towards or backward. Long press Frequency scan FM station towards or backward. In CD/USB Mode: One short press is for Pre or next program; Long press is for Fast backward and towards. In BT mode: Short press the up or down once to switch the sound. In AUX Mode: This keys no function ;
- MODE/EQ (6) Long press EQ key for FLAT/CLASS/JAZZ/ROCK/POP mutual change ; In working mode: short press for Radio/CD/USB/AUX mutual change.

- PLAY/PAUSE/P+/SCAN (8) In FM mode: one-time short press for sourcing frequency which memory; long press for 2 seconds for an auto-scan FM frequency. In CD/USB/BT mode: first short press for Pause, short press again for play; In AUX mode: The key no function
- STOP/REP/MEM (7) In FM mode: one-time short press is for memorized frequency, maximum can memorize 20 frequency. In CD/USB Mode: in play mode, one time press for one music repeat, press again for all program repeat, one-time short press delete this function and long-press seconds stop play. In AUX/BT mode: The key no function.
- VOL+/VOL- (4) Short press one for Volume up or down one step, Long press for Volume up and down continues. The maximum Volume is 32.
- AUX (5) Use the Auxiliary input to connect an external audio source (MP3 player) to the unit.
- USB (10) Press the Mode key on the unit or remote control to select USB mode and plug in a USB.
- AC Power (11) Input Use the AC Power input to connect the unit to an AC power source.

and dispose them in corresponding waste bins. Used appliance should be
