SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Please read this user manual completely, observe the safety instructions and keep it for future reference.

  • Electrical installation should be performed by a qualified licensed electrician. During installation, always observe the national installation regulations.

  • WARNING! To prevent injuries, make sure the blades are not bent and that there are no objects within the area of rotation.

  • WARNING! Do not use this fan in the same room at the same time as a gas or fuel burning fire, unless the flue has  beentested under these conditions of use by a competent person.

  • WARNING! If regular operation causes problems, such as noise, vibration, damaged or loose parts, stop using the fan immediately!

  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

  • Children shall not play with the appliance.

  • Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be carried out by children without supervision.

  • Make sure that the fixed installation has a contact separation in all poles that provide\ full disconnection under over voltage category III conditions.

  • Do not install the fan in a room equipped with a smoke alarms, as this might have an influence on the smoke detection.

  • WARNING! Do not use a dimmer type switch to control the fan speed.

  • Make sure the fan is securely fastened at the ceiling.

  •  The distance between the blades and the floor, should be at least 2.3 m.

  • Always maintain 1 m distance between the lamp and inflammable materials (curtains, wall, etc.).

  • The light source of this luminaire is not replaceable; when the light source reaches its end of life the whole product shall be replaced. Replaceability of the light source and control gear would impact on safe operation in the intended environment.

  • The product must not be modified in any way. Risk of electric shock and accident.

  • Before operation, make sure the luminaire cover is securely fixed in position.

  • The fan is designed for indoor use only. It is not designed for installation in a bathroom or any damp area. Please ensure that the luminaire does not come into contact with water.

  • WARNING! Before working on the fan, make sure the fan is disconnected from the mains supply in all poles.
    To avoid personal injury or damage to the fan and other items, be cautious when working around or cleaning the fan.

  • Do not use water or detergents when cleaning the fan or fan blades. A dry dust cloth or lightly dampened cloth will be suitable for cleaning.

FOR USE OF BATTERIES

  • CAUTION! Danger of explosion if batteries are incorrectly replaced.
    Replace only with the same or equivalent type. Observe correct polarity.

  • Batteries (battery pack or batteries installed) shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like. Protect from mechanical shock. Keep dry and clean. Keep away from children.

  • Do not open, dismantle, shred or short-circuit batteries. Do not mix\ old and new batteries.

  • Dispose of properly. Pay attention to environmental aspects of battery disposal. Do not dispose of in household waste.

  • Refer to safety and other instructions on the battery or its packaging.

  • In case of battery leakage, remove the batteries and clean the battery compartment thoroughly. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

INTENDED USE

The appliance is intended for distribution of dry air in private interiors, as well as lighting (if pro – vided). The appliance is not intended for com – mercial use.
Any other use or modification to the appliance is considered as improper use and could cause considerable dangers.

REMOTE

The fan is controlled via its remote control. Place two AAA batteries (not included) in the battery compartment 17 – observe correct polarity.

LIGHT
To switch the light on or off, press the light on/ off button 19 .

FAN SPEED
To switch the fan on and to set the desired op – eration speed press 12 :
1 = min. speed up to
5 = max. speed

TIME PRE-SET
To set a designated runtime with automatic switch-off press:
14 = 2 hours
15 = 4 hours
16 = 8 hours

ROTATION DIRECTION
Change the rotation direction by pushing the F/R button 13.

REMOTE HOLDER
The remote holder 20 can be installed by drilling two 6 mm holes. Insert the plugs and install the holder with the screws.

Ensure the battery compartment cov – er is closed properly
Do not expose the remote control to direct sunlight.

  1. Select an installation location without pipes or cables behind it. Switch off the circuit break – er of the installation site.

  2. Remove the right screw of the ceiling bracket screws 6 on both sides. Keep them for step 9 . Loosen the left brack – et screws 1 mm, but do not remove them.

  3. At the installation site, fix ade – quate wall anchors (not includ – ed) to the ceiling.
    WARNING! Wall an – chors must fit the ceil – ing type, the weight of the fan, and its torque.

  4. Install the ceiling bracket with the screw kit. Make sure the ceiling bracket is securely fas – tened.

  5. Connect the cable to the termi – nal as follows:
    L Brown
    N Blue
    Yellow/Green

  6. Hang the fan unit 2 into the ceiling bracket. Rotate the fan unit 2 until the rotation latch engages.

  7. Slide the remote unit into the ceiling bracket as shown.

  8. Connect the three cable clips of the remote unit with the corresponding clips on the fan unit 2. Take care, that the fac – ing colors match.

  9. Install the cover 1 by attaching it to the ceiling bracket and re – install the screws removed in step 2 . Tighten all four brack – et screws 6 .

  10. Install the three blades 5 to the fan unit 2 by use of two screws per blade.

  11. Connect the cable clip of the fan unit 2 with the clip on the luminaire base 3 . Install the luminaire base 3 to the fan unit 2 .

  12. Fasten the three screws that hold the luminaire base.

  13. nstall the luminaire cover 4 and check it for secure fitting.

  14. Switch on the circuit breaker of the installation site.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Fan does not start.| Check circuit beaker respectively circuit fuse. Disconnect from mains supply and check connection terminals inside the fan.

Light does not work.| Disconnect from mains supply and check connection terminals inside the cover.
Fan runs unevenly and/or wobbles.| Disconnect from mains supply and check if the blades are correctly installed to the motor. Disconnect from mains supply and check if the ceiling bracket securely fastened at the ceiling.
If the problem persists, start exchanging the position of single blades.
Fan sounds noisy.| Disconnect from mains supply and check for loose or overtightened screws.

PAIRING REMOTE CONTROL

The fan and the remote control are already paired. Pair setting is necessary in following situations:

  • You would like to use one remote control to control more than one fan.
  • You get a new wireless remote control spare part.
  1. Switch on the circuit breaker of the installation site.
  2. Press and the FAN ON/OFF key 7 within 30 seconds. Hold it until the fan starts to move.

CLEANING & CARE

WARNING! Before working on the fan, make sure the corresponding circuit breaker is disconnected.

  • To avoid personal injury or damage to the fan and other items, be cautious when working around or cleaning the fan.
  • Do not use water or detergents when cleaning the fan or fan blades. A dry dust cloth or lightly dampened cloth will be suitable for cleaning.

REPLACEMENT PARTS

BATTERIES
The batteries (Type AAA / not included) in the remote can be replaced. Observe correct polarity and only replace by batteries of the same type.

LAMP
The light source of this luminaire is not replaceable; when the light source reaches its end of life the whole product shall be replaced.

DISPOSAL

The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol requires separate disposal for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). Such equipment may contain valuable, but dangerous and hazardous substances. You are required by law to return these products to a designated collection point for the recycling of WEEE and must not under any circumstances dispose of them as unsorted municipal waste. In this way, you can help to conserve resources and protect the environment.

In Germany, HORNBACH is obliged:

  • to take back old appliances of the same type free of charge in HORNBACH stores when you purchase a new electrical or electronic appliance.
  • to take back up to 3 WEEE of the same type (up to max. 25 cm edge length) free of charge in HORNBACH stores, even if you do not purchase a new appliance.
  • when delivering a new electrical or electronic appliance to a private household, to collect an old appliance of the same type free of charge or to enable you to return it in your immediate vicinity

Make sure that all batteries have been removed from the appliance before disposing of it. You will find notes on this in the operating instructions (see chapter Remote).

Used batteries and rechargeable batteries must be disposed of properly. Battery selling stores and municipal collection points offer special containers for battery disposal. Precise data on the type and chemical system of the batteries can be found in the technical data, corresponding markings on the batteries themselves.

Children must not play with plastic bags and packaging material, due to the risk of injury and suffocation. Store such material safely or dispose of it in an environmentally friendly way.
