PROZIS-KRIS-Digital-Air-Fryer-FIG-5Cooking with the air fryer

  • Some ingredients require shaking halfway through the preparation time. To shake the ingredients, pull the cooking basket out by the handle and shake it. Then slide the basket back into the air fryer. Using oven mitts is recommended to hold the handle as the air fryer does generate heat and gets hot.

  • Open the air fryer to check on your ingredients as often as you like.
If the timer alarm goes off, this means the set preparation time has elapsed. Pull the coo-king basket out of the device and place it on a flat, heat- resistant surface.

  • Tip: If you set the timer to half the preparation time, the timer will go off when you have to shake the ingredients. However this means that you have to set the timer again to the remaining preparation time after shaking.

  • Check if the ingredients are ready. If they are not ready yet, simply slide the basket back into the air fryer and set the timer to a few extra minutes.

  • When a batch of ingredients is ready, the air fryer is instantly ready to cook another batch.

Notes:

  • Excess oil from the ingredients is collected at the bottom of the cooking basket. Do not turn the cooking basket upside down with the grill rack still attached to it, as any excess oil collected at the bottom of the basket will leak onto the ingredients.
  • The cooking basket, grill rack and ingredients are hot. Depending on the type of ingredient in the air fryer, steam may be produced.
  • To remove large or fragile ingredients, take them out of the cooking basket using a set of tongs.

Helpful tips

  • Cooking small items requires less cooking time than larger items.
  • The cooking time difference for large quantities of food vs. smaller quantities is not signifi-cant, making air frying an efficient and time saving method of cooking.
  • Shaking the cooking basket halfway through the cooking process optimizes your cooking results. Brush some oil onto fresh potatoes for a crispy result. Fry the potatoes in the air fryer within a few minutes of adding the oil.
  • Do not cook extremely greasy ingredients such as sausages.
  • Snacks that can be prepared in an oven can also be prepared in the air fryer.
  • You can also reheat food in the air fryer. To reheat ingredients, set the temperature at 150ºC for up to 5 minutes, with increments of 5 minutes if necessary.

Safety features

The air fryer is equipped with an overheating protection. This means the device automatically switches off when the temperature reaches its threshold. If this happens follow these steps:

  • a. Switch off the appliance by pressing the Power On button.
  • b. Unplug the device from the electric outlet.
  • c. Allow the appliance to cool down.

Troubleshooting

Some issues that arise may be solved by the user. If the problem persists after having tried the following solutions, please contact Prozis customer service.

PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION
The air fryer does not work. The device is not plugged in. Carefully connect

the power cord to the power outlet.
The ingredients are not cooked through.| There are too many ingredients in the basket.| Place smaller batches of ingredients in the basket. Smaller quantities fry more evenly.
The set temperature is too low.| Press the + button to increase the temperature.
The set preparation time is too short.| Press the + button to increase the preparation time.
The ingredients are fried unevenly in the air fryer.| Certain food should be shaken halfway through the cooking process.| Ingredients that lie on top or across each other (e.g. fries) need to be shaken halfway through the cooking time.
Fried snacks are not crispy when they come out of the air fryer.| You used a type of snack meant to be prepared in a traditional deep fryer.| Use oven snacks or lightly brush some oil onto the snacks for a crispier result.
I cannot slide the cooking basket into the device properly.| There are too many ingredients in the cooking basket.| Do not overfill the basket. Do not go beyond the MAX line.
The grill rack is not placed in the basket properly.| Push the rack down into the basket until it clicks.
White smoke is coming out of the appliance.| You are preparing greasy ingredients.| The smoke is probably grease that has drained into the bottom of the basket and is burning.

This does not affect the appliance or the final result.

The cooking basket still contains grease residues from previous use.| White smoke is caused by grease heating up in the basket. Make sure you clean the basket properly after each use.
Homemade fries are fried unevenly in the air fryer.| You did not use the right kind of potato.| Use fresh potatoes and make sure they stay firm while frying.
You did not rinse the potato sticks properly before frying them.| Rinse them properly to remove any starch from the outside of the sticks.
Homemade fries are not crispy when they come out of the air fryer.| The crispiness of the fries depends on the amount of oil and water in the fries.| Make sure you dry the potato sticks before adding the oil.
Cut the potatoes into smaller sticks for a crispier result.
Add slightly more oil for a crispier result.
