UBL-SC-HH Handheld Siren/Controller

CONTROLLER HOLDER MOUNTING SPECIFICATIONS

  1. Using the included handheld holster, confirm placement and mark holes.
  2. Drill pilot holes, confirming not to drill into vehicle’s wiring or interfere with vehicle or airbag operation.
  3. Screw in holster with the included screws.

WIRING INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Follow the input diagram below for button and siren operation.
  2. Make sure to follow fusing guidelines for powering siren (3 amps per outlet and 30 amp maximum draw).

CONTROLLER CONFIGURATION INSTRUCTIONS

  1. For button configuration, follow the diagram on the next page.
  2. To set a tone, press and release one of the five siren buttons to activate the tone. Use a micro screwdriver to press the tone selector button on the side of the controller until the desired tone is playing and release. Repeat this step for all five buttons.
  3. To change the volume, press and release one of the five siren buttons to activate the tone. Use a micro screwdriver to turn the volume dial on the side of the controller until desired volume is reached.
  4. To set a light button to momentary, hold the button down for 30 seconds to change from on/off to momentary and vice versa.
  5. Use the included legend stickers to label your buttons.

ADDING YOUR OWN TONES

  1. Connect your siren to your computer with the provided Micro USB cable.
  2. The siren will appear on your computer as a drive (like a USB flash drive). Open up this folder.
  3. Drag up to 30 MP3 files you would like to use into the folder. Note: The files must be named 0001, 0002, 0003, through 0030 for the siren to read them.
  4. Follow the tone selection instructions above to program the tones you uploaded.

Equipment that is mounted or located in the airbag deployment area can reduce or damage the effectiveness of the airbag, or become a projectile that can cause serious personal injury or death. Refer to your vehicle owner’s manual for more information about the airbag deployment area. The User/Installer assumes full responsibility for determining a proper mounting location that provides ultimate safety to all passengers inside the vehicle.
  • Do not attempt to activate or control this device in hazardous driving conditions.
  • Nighttime operation of lighting products may produce reflected light within the vehicle, rendering it difficult to see. Use with caution.
  • These are high intensity lights. Please allow adequate distance before looking directly into them.

Before returning this vehicle to active service, visually confirm the proper operation of this product, as well as all vehicle
components/equipment.

WARRANTY INFORMATION

UBL Electronics warrants that all “ilumex” series LED lights are free from defects in materials and workmanship for five (5) years from the time of purchase, all other LED lights are free from defects in materials and workmanship for two (2) years from the time of purchase, and all UBL sirens and speakers are free from defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the time of purchase. During the warranty period we will, at our sole discretion, repair or replace the product. This limited warranty does not cover labor charges for the removal and installation of the product.
UBL Electronics is not responsible for incidental damages, including but not limited to: loss of time, loss of work, inconvenience, loss and/or damage to personal property, and shipping expenses.
Use of incorrect electrical power (other than that specified by the manufacturer), use of inappropriate or inadequate wiring, improper circuit protection or alterations to the product may void the warranty.
