Important instructions to be kept for future reference.
The following basic precautions should always be followed when using electrical appliances:

  1. Read all instructions before using the appliance.

  2. This appliance must be used only for the purpose it was expressly designed; any use NOT complying with the instructions contained in the manual is considered inappropriate and dangerous. The manufacturer is NOT responsible for possible damages caused by the inappropriate and/or unreasonable use.

  3. The appliance is designed for heating water only. DO NOT put other liquids into it. Different liquids have different boiling points, with volatile liquids having boiling points lower than 100°C, the boiling point of water.

  4. This appliance is NOT suitable to be used in an explosive environment (in the presence of flammable substances such as gas, vapor, mist or dust, in atmospheric conditions when, after ignition, the combustion is spread in the air). Items containing these substances should never be placed in the appliance, and never be used to clean the appliance in order to avert the risk of fire or explosion.

  5. The packing materials (plastic bags, expanded polystyrene, etc.) must be kept out of the reach of children or disabled persons since they represent potential sources of danger.

  6. The installation/assembly of the appliance will be made in accordance with the indications of the manufacturer. A wrong procedure may cause damages to persons, animals or objects, for which the manufacturer cannot be considered responsible.

  7. Before use, check the integrity of the appliance and power cable. In case you are not  sure, contact a qualified person. If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a qualified technician in order to avoid a shock hazard.

  8. Before powering the appliance make sure the rating (voltage and frequency) corresponding to the grid and the socket is suitable for the plug of the appliance, and that the wall socket is properly grounded.

  9. DO NOT power the appliance using multiple sockets. If possible, avoid the use of adapters and/or extension cables; if their use is absolutely necessary, use only materials in compliance with the current safety regulations and according to the electrical parameters of the adapters.

  10. The appliance must NOT be switched on using external timers and/or other remote control appliances which are not specified in this manual.

  11. Only use original components & accessories provided by the manufacturer. Any non-original components & accessories NOT recommended by the manufacturer may cause injuries to persons or damage to the appliance.

  12. During use and storage, the appliance must be kept at a safe distance from heat sources (open flame, heaters, stoves, etc.) or any flammable and/or potentially explosive substances.

  13.  If you are using the appliance for the first time, you should:
    a. Clean the Glass Lid, BBQ Pan & Suki Pot thoroughly with hot water & detergent with a non-abrasive sponge. DO NOT use metal scouring pads. Wipe the surfaces of the BBQ Pan & Suki Pot and the Glass Lid dry. Check that the BBQ Pan & Suki Pot is securely placed onto the appliance before you start using the appliance.
Notice: you can use a dishwasher to clean the Glass Lid
    b. Clean the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth, and immediately wipe dry.
    c. A “trial run” at high temperatures to eliminate substances like oil that may be present can be conducted. Place and use the appliance on a horizontal, stable and heat- resistant surface. Fill about 80% of the Suki Pot with water and place it into the body on top of the Heating plate. Cover the Suki Pot with the Glass Lid. Plug the power  cable into the electric mains and switch it on. Turn both Control Knobs to ‘MAX’. Both the Indicator Lights will light up, and the heating will commence. Smoke and  odor may be emitted due to the combustion of these substances and this is normal. Wait for the water to cool after boiling. Discard the water. Then the appliance is safe to use.
    d. Should there be a need to stop the appliance from heating, simply turn both of the Control Knobs to ‘OFF’. The Indicator Lights will turn off, and the heating will cease. Turn off the main switch and remove the plug from the electric mains and the Power Cable from the Power Cable Socket.

cable out of reach of children less than 8 years old.

  30. Save these instructions.

HOW TO USE

  1. Place and use the appliance on a dry, horizontal, stable and heat-resistant surface.

  2. Add the food ingredients onto the BBQ Pan or Suki Pot and add suitable amounts of water, between 50% and 80% of the height of the Suki Pot. Allow about 4 to 5 minutes for the appliance to reach the ideal temperature for cooking. Adjust the quantity of water to your personal taste. As pouring liquids into an empty container is  dangerous (the container may be very hot and this may cause the liquid to splash out), always pour water or soup into the Suki Pot first before switching on the appliance.

  3. Cover the Suki Pot with the Glass Lid. If the Glass Lid is not positioned correctly, cooking might be affected. Overspill could occur which may lead to injuries like scalding or damage to the surroundings.

  4. Plug the power cable into the electric mains and switch it on. Turn on the BBQ Control Knob, Suki Control Knob (or both) on the appliance. The respective Indicator  Lights will light up, and the heating will commence. Turning the Power Control Knob to ‘OFF’ will cease heating immediately. The Control Knobs provide easy control  for switching on the BBQ Pan or Suki Pot individually & simultaneously.
You may alter the rate of heating by adjusting the Control Knobs while cooking.

  5. The appliance will automatically stop heating when the temperature reaches the maximum set temperature, and it will automatically reheat when the temperature decreases after a few minutes.

  6. Once cooking is completed, turn the Control Knobs to ‘OFF’, switch off the appliance, and unplug the power cable from the electric mains. Be cautious when checking  on the food or taking it out. Lift the Glass Lid by the Lid Handle, and expect that a lot of steam will rush out. One’s hands and face should be angled away from the  opening between the Glass Lid and the Suki Pot.

  7. Always use a wooden spatula for stir frying or stirring so as not to damage the non-stick coating on the BBQ Pan and Suki Pot.

HOW TO CLEAN

  1. Switch off the appliance and unplug from the electric mains. Allow sufficient time for the appliance to cool.

  2. Clean the Glass Lid, BBQ Pan & Suki Pot thoroughly with hot water & detergent with a non-abrasive sponge. DO NOT use corrosive cleaners or a steel brush to avoid
    damaging the non-stick coating.

  3. Wipe the exterior of the appliance using a soft, damp cloth or sponge.
Remove stubborn spots with a cloth moistened with mild liquid detergent.
DO NOT use abrasive scouring pads or powders

  4. Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids, except for the Glass Lid.

  5. If the appliance is not used for a long time, clean and put it in the packing box.
Store in a dry and ventilated place.

Descaling
From time to time, boiled scale deposit will naturally form on the BBQ Pan & Suki Pot, thus reducing heating efficiency. The frequency of descaling depends on the quality of tap water in your region and the frequency of use of the appliance.

Suki Pot

  1. Fill the Suki Pot to its maximum volume using a mixture of one part ordinary vinegar and two parts water.

  2. Boil the mixture as per normal.

  3. Leave the mixture in the Suki Pot overnight, and discard it the next morning.

  4. Fill the Suki Pot to its maximum volume with water.

  5. Boil the water as per normal.

  6. Discard the boiled water to remove any remaining scale and vinegar.

  7. Rinse the inside of the Suki Pot with water.

  8. The descaling is complete and the Suki Pot is ready to be used.
    BBQ Pan

  9. Add a mixture of one part ordinary vinegar and two parts water onto the surface of the BBQ Pan until the linear raised embossments are covered with liquid for a day and then discard.

  10. Rinse the BBQ Pan with water.

  11. The descaling is complete and the BBQ Pan is ready to be used.
