Installation instructions or commissioning:

Then first, as shown, insert the guide bar ② into the square frame ③ and fasten it at the desired height by means of a knurled screw. Check whether the ON/OFF switch b on the guide bar is set to OFF. The electric pump and the battery are already installed in such a way that norther work is necessary for this. The battery  must be charged. Loosen the tension belt of the container and remove the water canister. Now open the screw cap of the water container, fill it with water and close it again with the screw cap and put the canister back on the designated place. Fill the second canister with a mixture of paint and water. You also have the option of filling the paint / water mixture into both canisters.

Now you have a complete canister with lawn marker paint for your lining work and a canister with water for subsequent cleaning at your disposal. Leave the ball stopcocks m closed until you are at the place of use with the device. At the place of use, open the stopcocks and press the switch on the guide bar.

  • Please only open the ball stopcock from the water canister for the first spray attempt!!
The integrated pressure switch in the pump is intended as a safety device for emergency shutdown, please always turn off the pump with prolonged idling via the ON/OFF switch on the guide bar. A dry run must not exceed 5 min.

  • For the use and charging of the pump and battery, please refer to the operating instructions listed below or the operating instructions of the power supply

  • Charge the AKKU for at least 72 hours before using the pump for the first time!

Completion and cleaning or maintenance of the device:

After the work has been finished:
  1. 1Turn the ON/off switch on the guide bar on OFF.

  2. Turn off the quick coupling on the paint mixture and leave only the water can open!

  3. Switch the ON/OFF switch on the guide spar to ON and leave the remaining water in the water canister (if it is empty, please refill about 1 litter of water) please continue to convey until only clean water splashes out of the nozzle!
This is important so that no paint settles inside the hoses, the nozzle and the pump and clogs them!!

  4. Set the ON/OFF switch on the guide bar back to OFF

  5. Now unscrew the flat jet nozzle and rinse it under water. If the paint has already set, place the nozzle in a container of water overnight and let it soak.

  6. In case of low power in the battery, please charge with the attached charging cable: (Please note the exact instructions on page 6!!!)

  • Fit out the control current connector (Fig. 4)
  • Charge the battery with the included power supply:
  • Connect the power supply to a mains socket (red indicator light appears)
  • Connect adapter of the power supply to the battery (charging current socket on the adjacent image) (red indicator light goes out, charging starts)
  • When the final charging voltage is reached, the display lights again and now emits only a small amount of current for a trickle charge
  • Disconnecting the charger from the battery

With these cleaning instructions, the full functionality of the cart is maintained until the next use!!
Note:
These canisters are not airtight, please empty the remains of the paint mixture again and again, otherwise the paint will dry and lumps can clog the hoses etc.!

Application and operating instructions Electric pump

Preparation / safety instructions:

All preparation and maintenance work may only be carried out when the motor is at a standstill. Before starting or servicing, the motor must be disconnected from the power supply with all poles. Make sure that unintentional switching on is not possible or disconnect the electrical coupling on the guide bar.
Please make sure that the hoses and cables are not overloaded. Suction and pressure hoses should have the shortest possible distances.

  • The ambient temperature should not be below 0°C and during operation it should not be higher than +40°C.
  • The pump may only be used when it is lying down. Conversion of the pump as well as changing the installation of the pump is not allowed. All safety instructions and warranty claims are thus forfeited and the functional capabilities of the wet marking cart will be impaired.
  • Foreign bodies can clog the membranes or valves. This decreases the pumping capacity. To avoid this, the water container, the paint container as well as the intake hoses should always be thoroughly cleaned after each use and be examined for foreign bodies, lumps or the like!

Electrical Connection & Cabling

Electrical Safety

FIRE HAZARD! SHORT CIRCUIT!

  • Do not bridge the battery contacts with metal parts.
Check before each use! Perform a visual inspection of the battery before each use

  • Never charge the battery in an environment where acids or highly flammable materials are present.
Only the enclosed charging cable may be used as the charging cable. When using other charging cables, the batteries can be destroyed or even fires can occur!

  • Danger of explosion! Protect the battery from heat and fire! Do not place it on radiators or expose it to strong sunlight for a long time!
Use and charge the battery only at an ambient temperature between 5°C and 45°C. After heavy use, let the battery cool down first. A battery that is too hot must not be charged!
The charging cable must be checked regularly for signs of damage and ageing (brittleness) and may only be used in perfect condition.

  • Overvoltage/AC voltage/voltage fluctuations destroy the battery and the charging cable
Pay attention to the correct mains voltage. Protect against overvoltage/lightning strike!

Storage

Do not store the battery above 45°C or under direct sunlight. Ideally, the battery should be stored below 25 °C so that the self-discharge is low. Never store connected to the charging cable! The place of storage must be inaccessible to children.
Do not store the battery in places of static electricity, and keep it frost- free!

Maintenance

Make sure that the outer surfaces of the battery pack as well as the contacts of the battery are always clean and dry before operating the battery or using the charging cable. If soiled, clean them with a soft dry cloth, never under running water.

Safe removal of the lead-gel battery

Determination according to the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) §4 Art.4. Replacement or removal of the battery (lead-acid battery) Unscrew the 4 screws on the top of the battery holder (14), remove the lid, detach the battery from the terminals (cable lugs red and black) and remove. A new battery can then be replaced by attaching it to the two shoe clamps (red + black). Screw the lid back on after inserting the battery.

Troubleshooting:

Fault: Pump does not build up pressure
Causes:

  • Clog: Loosen the hose in front of the valve holder (6) by means of the hose clamp and let it hang towards the floor, and turn on the pump
If paint is being transported through, the flat jet nozzle or the valve holder is clogged. Remove and clean the flat jet nozzle/ valve holder!

  • there may be clumps, dirt in the canister clean!
