Magnet Holder preparation and attachment
CAUTION!
Prepare the magnets individually and place them far apart from each other to
avoid injuries.
- For utilization of LED full spectrum 8850 with glass thicknesses up to 15 mm (2/3“), replace the white holder magnets of the lamp with the black holder magnets of the separately available Magnet Holder 6025.500.
- For LED marine eco-chic 8811, LED white eco-chic 8821 and eco-chic refugium 8831, the retention force will be increased from 10 mm (3/8“) to 12 mm (1/2“) by Magnet Holder 6025.515.
- Prepare a suitable place on the glass pane, whereas the outside should be clean and dry.
- Attach the magnet with the bracket for the LED lamp with the magnetic suction ring facing in the direction of the inner aquarium glass pane (1).
- Position the holder magnet (2) of the Magnet Holder towards the inner part (1) and then carefully bring them together.
- There are two different mounting options available:
- As shown in Fig. (3), the lamp can be installed centered in the holder, or with the cable end towards the glass pane as shown in Fig. (4).
- To move the Magnet Holder to a different position, the external holder magnet should be slightly lifted from the glass.
Commissioning LED marine eco-chic 8811, LED white eco-chic 8821 and LED eco chic refugium 8831Insert the barrel connector of the AC adapter into the plug on the cable end of the lamp, then plug AC adapter into a mains socket. The lamp can be operated above (1) or underwater (2) with consistent electrical power consumption. This underwater lighting avoids light reflections on the water surface, which makes this lighting source even more efficient and brighter. An immersion depth of 1 to 2 cm (0.39 to 0.78 in.) is sufficient. The lamp consists of a protective encapsulated construction and is corrosion resistant with no harmful effects for your aquarium biotope. After a prolonged operation underwater, the light-emitting side becomes slightly opaque.
Commissioning LED full spectrum 8850
Insert the barrel connector of the AC adapter into the plug on the cable end
of the lamp, then plug AC adapter into a mains socket. The lamp can be
operated above (1) or underwater (2).
Above the water surface:
The LED full spectrum will regulate itself to a temperature of approx. 50°C
(130°F) even if it‘s operated non-submerged. At room temperature, it will
thereby have a power consumption of 10 W regardless of the color setting.
Moving or cool air will increase the performance, heat build-up will reduce
it.
Below the water surface:
This underwater lighting avoids light reflections on the water surface, which
makes this lighting source even more efficient and brighter. An immersion
depth of 1 to 2 cm (0.39 to 0.78 in.) is sufficient. The lamp consists of a
protective encapsulated construction and is corrosion resistant with no
harmful effects for your aquarium biotope. During the operation in aquarium
water, the lamp is cooled sufficiently, and will only reach the maximum power
of 26 W if all the LEDs are set to the maximum brightness. After a prolonged
operation underwater, the light-emitting side becomes slightly opaque
Cleaning
Never remove dirt using hard or abrasive objects! When operating above the water surface, the light may be cleaned by briefly rinsing it with tap water and then drying it thoroughly with a soft cloth. When operating the lamp below the water surface, we recommend cleaning on a regular basis, at least once a year. Under unfavorable conditions, shorter intervals (approximately every three months) are necessary. Never remove dirt using hard objects! To remove calcium or other deposits soak the light in vinegar and rinse briefly with fresh water.
Manual control only for LED full spectrum 8850
The light color can be set with the supplied holder magnets. Hold the LED
light with one hand and loosen the holder magnet from the aquarium glass pane.
Now, raise the holder magnet (1) on the front of the LED lamp (2) and vary its
position slowly until you notice a change in the light color. As long as the
magnet is in position, the light color cycle through an infinite settings loop
(3) from white to deep blue light. In the delivery state (4) all LEDs are set
to the maximum brightness. This is indicated by a short blinking during the
procedure. As soon as you remove the holder magnets the light color will be
stored permanently. The TUNZE® LED (1) has a built-in temperature monitoring.
In case of insufficient ventilation/cooling, the light output/brightness will
be reduced.
The information about the color temperatures are approximations based on a
comparable thermal radiator.
Connection to Multicontroller 7097 / SmartController 7000 only for LED full
spectrum 8850
With the Multicontroller 7097 / SmartController 7000 it is possible to control
all color channels individually and time-dependent. For this, the
Multicontroller 7097 / SmartController 7000 must be connected to the lamp with
a 5-pin connector cable and to a power supply. Through this connection to the
LED, the ramping function during startup will be switched off!
