Setting up the Fortress Guardian

Follow these steps in order to connect your Guardian gateway to your battery system and secure a connection from your Guardian app to the Guardian gateway.

Download the Android Guardian application on your phone.

  1. Scan the QR code on your box to be directed to download your Guardian application. The app is available only for Android and will later be available for iOS.

  2. Once your app is installed, follow these steps for new user registration. You may register with a Google account or create an account with another email address.
Once the Guardian app is installed on your device, the best way to submit a bug to us is right on the app.
With the app open, if you find a bug you can shake your phone to open the bug report. Note that some models of Android phones do not support the “shake” gesture.
Instead  you can take a screenshot.
You’ll get a prompt for some information about the issue. Please fill in the issue you are experiencing and press “SUBMIT”. That issue will be reported for us to solve.
A Note to Our Alpha Testers:
A big thank you for agreeing to test the product at an early stage. Word of warning here: you are one of a select few pioneers that currently have this product. But to the pioneers go the arrows!
Please take extra care to follow the steps in order. We haven’t completely bullet-proofed everything yet (we’re working on it!) and we want you to still have a good experience. Also, the app or your device may freeze up or crash. If it does, please report it as a bug. To recover you may have to force quit the app, power cycle your Guardian, or even factory reset it.
Thanks again! Now back to the rest of the guide.
