LAYOUT and PRE-CONFIGURE COMPONENTS
LTR-S-HO tape requires that it be installed in a GM Lighting mounting channel for thermal management and heat dissipa-tion. Prepare surface that channels and power supply will be mounted on by making sure surface is free of dust or lint. Use proper household or commercial cleaner, depending on surface FIG. 1.
CONNECTING TAPE TO POWER
Connect leads provided on beginning of tape to 24V LineDRIVE power supply (in order to validate 5-year warranty). Consult power supply instructions on proper method of connection.
CUTTING TAPE
Cut tape to size only by cutting on the cut marks. Cutting anywhere else on the tape will render your application useless FIG 2.
JOINING TAPE SECTIONS TOGETHER
Joining tape sections together reliably requires that you use either GM
Lighting SureTight or EZ Connectors. Expose bottom of tape by peeling back a
small amount of adhesive FIG 3.
Insert end of tape into connector and if you are using a Sure-Tight, tighten
screws carefully FIG 4. If you are using an EZ Connector, capture end of tape
in open mouth of connector, and then close until you hear an audible click FIG
5.
MOUNTING CHANNELS
Lay mounting channels on prepared surface and screw into place FIG 6. Lay tape into channel using adhesive backing to secure (remove red protective paper tape to expose adhesive). Burnish with your finger or a wooden stick to form a tight adhesive seal. Use channel lens if one is supplied.
