DEAR CUSTOMER

Prior to operating the appliance, please carefully read the present manual which contains important information regarding its proper and safe operation. Take care not to lose the present manual. The manufacturer will not be responsible for any damage resulting from improper use of the appliance or from non-observance of the  instructions and provisions of the present manual, as well as from attempts by unskilled persons at repairing the appliance. Should You decide to transfer the appliance to another person please pass the present manual over along with it.

This appliance is designed for use in domestic and similar applications, in particular:

  • in personnel kitchen zones at stores, offices and industrial facilities;
  • at agricultural farms;
  • by clients at hotels, motels and other residential facilities;
  • in private boarding houses.

PURPOSE OF THE APPLIANCE: for cooking by means of heating and with automatic control.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

The following requirements should be strictly observed in order to avoid situations hazardous for human life and health, as well as premature failures of the appliance:

  1. Use the appliance only for its intended purpose.
  2. Before first use, ensure that the power supply grid voltage corresponds to that indicated on the appliance.
  3. Do not pull the power cable if it touches sharp edges, is jammed by any objects or entangled.
  4. Do not route the power cable and do not place the device itself in locations with high humidity, on hot surfaces, near heating appliances or open flames.
  5. Do not cover the appliance with flammable objects, fabrics, etc.
  6. Use only the factory-supplied power cable.
  7. Ensure that the power cable and plug are dry and clean.
  8. Keep children away from the operating appliance.
  9. Do not use the appliance if:
    • the power cord is damaged;
    • the appliance has visible damage;
    • the appliance has been dropped;
    • the appliance has been exposed to moisture
  10. The appliance should not be used by physically, sensory or mentally handicapped persons (including children) or by persons without sufficient experience or knowledge, unless such persons are under supervision, or have been instructed on the use of the appliance, by the persons responsible for their safety.
  11. Do not pull or carry the appliance by its power cord.
  12. Always disconnect the appliance from power supply before maintenance or if the appliance is malfunctioning.
  13. Do not disconnect the appliance from power supply by pulling on the power cable; do not pull the plug with wet hands.
  14. In case of damage to the power cable or any other part of the  applianceimmediately disconnect the appliance from power supply and apply to the Manufacturer’s service centre. In case of unskilled intervention into the appliance or non-observance of the operating requirements listed in the present manual the warranty becomes void.
  15. Use the appliance only with the proper connector.
  16. The appliance is not designed to be powered from an external timer or other separate remote control system.
    Special instructions for transportation (shipment)and sale: none.

ATTENTION!

ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD! Never submerge the appliance in water! RISK OF INJURY! Beware of steam when operating the appliance.
FIRE HAZARD! Avoid all contact of the appliance with flammable liquids and combustible materials.

Accessible surfaces of the appliance can reach high temperature during operation. The surface of the heating element remains hot for some time after the appliance is turned off.

SCOPE OF SUPPLY

OPERATING PROCEDURE BASIC OPERATIO

  1. Turn the appliance on by plugging the power cord into an electric socket.
  2. Press the “Menu” button until the desired program is displayed. Press the “Start” button to start cooking the food. The display will show the default cooking time and a countdown.
  3. When the cooking is over the multi cooker will emit an audio signal and automatically switch to the warming mode (except in the “Yoghurt” and “Pasta” programs).The display will show the default cooking time and a countdown.

SETTING THE COOKING TIME

  1. Press and hold the “Menu” button until the desired program is displayed. The default cooking time will be shown on the display.
  2. Press the “-“ or “+” button to reduce or increase the cooking time
  3. Press the “Start” button to confirm. The multi cooker will start operating; the display will show the cooking time and a countdown

SETTING THE COOKING TEMPERATURE

The multi cooker has 11 built-in programs which allow adjusting the cooking temperature: “Frying”, “Stewing”, “Braising”, “Baking”, “Pasta”, “Soup”, “Pilaf”, “Multi Cook”, “Vegetables Fish”, “Poultry”, “Meat”.

  1. Press and hold the “Menu” button until the desired program is displayed. The default cooking time will be shown on the display.
  2. Press the “Temperature” button. The default cooking time will be shown on the display. If the temperature value is flashing, then the temperature can be adjusted. If  thetemperature is not flashing, the temperature is not adjustable.
  3. Press the “-“ or “+” button to reduce or increase the cooking temperature.
  4. Press the “Start” button to confirm. The multi cooker will start operating;  thedisplay will show the cooking time and a countdown

SETTING THE STARTUP DELAY

  1. Press and hold the “Menu” button until the desired program is displayed.  Thedefault cooking time will be shown on the display.

  2. Press the “Timer” button. The value of program start delay will be displayed. “00:00” will start flashing on the display.
    Note: The “Deep Fry” program does not support the delayed start function.

  3. Press “-“ to select the number of hours of delay and the “+” button to select the number of minutes of delay.

  4. Press the “Start” button to confirm. The multi cooker will start operating; the displaywill show the startup delay time and a countdown. Example: If You wish the multi cooker to start cooking 2 hours and 30 minutes later, press the “Timer” button multiple times until the value 02:30 appears on the  display.After  that the appliance will switch to the standby mode and start cooking 2.5 hourlater.

CANCEL/WARMING

Press and hold the “Cancel” button for a few seconds to abort the selected cooking program and switch to the standby mode. The display will show “00:00”.

AUTOMATIC THERMOSTATIC FUNCTION

After completion of the cooking all programs, except the “Yoghurt” and “Pasta” programs, switch to the automatic temperature keeping mode.
When the multi cooker is in the standby mode, press the “Cancel/Warming” button

COOKING PASTA

  1. Hold down the “Menu” button until the desired program is displayed. The   display will show the cooking time “00:08”. Press the “Start” time to confirm.

  2. After that the display will show “00:00”. As soon the water in the appliance starts to boil the multi cooker will emit an audio signal to remind you to put the pasta in the bowl.
    Note: the appliance will emit the audio signal 5 times every 30 seconds to  remindyou to put the pasta into the boiling water. If you fail to do so within 5 minutes the program will automatically terminate.

  3. After putting the ingredients into the bowl press the “Start” button. The display will show the cooking time “00:08” and a countdown.

  4. After completion of the pasta cooking program the multi cooker will emit anaudio signal and switch to the standby mode.

MAINTENANCE

CLEANING THE HOUSING AND BOWL

  • Clean the housing and inner bowl of the appliance as necessary, using  warmwater and soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents and dishwashing detergents.
  • Thoroughly clean the bowl each time after use. Use soft dishwashing detergents.Do not wash the bowl in a dishwasher. Do not use abrasive detergents, stiff brushes and cleaning scrubs for cleaning the bowl, in order to preserve its coating. Wipe the bowl dry after washing

DISPOSAL


Upon expiry of its service life the appliance can be disposed of separately from ordinary domestic waste. You can turn it over to a specialized electric and electronic appliance disposal and recycling centre.

CERTIFICATION DATA, GUARANTEE

The service life of this item is 5 years since the date of sale to the end user, provided the item will be used in strict accordance with the present manual and the applicable technical standards. Upon expiry of the service life please contact the  nearestauthorized service centre for suggestions as to further operation of the appliance. The manufacturing date of the appliance is integrated into the serial number (digits 2 and 3 – year, digits 4 and 5 – month of manufacture). If any questions related to appliance maintenance should arise, or if the appliance has malfunctions, apply to the CENTEK TM Authorized Service Center. DEAR VALUED CONSUMER!

The guarantee period for all appliances amounts to 12 months since the date of sale to the end consumer. With this Warranty Card the Manufacturer confirms the proper condition of the appliance and undertakes to repair, freeof charge, all defects caused by the Manufacturer’s default.

GUARANTEE MAINTENANCE TERMS

  1. The guarantee shall be valid if the following documentation conditions are observed:

    • The original Warranty Card shall be filled out correctly and clearly, indicating the of appliance model, serial number and sale date, the stamp of the seller companyand signature of its representative shall be available, as well as the stamps on each coupon and the buyer’s signature in the Warranty Card. The Manufacturer reserves the right to reject guarantee maintenance if the buyer fails to provide the abovementioned documents or if the information contained therein is incomplete, illegible or ambiguous.
  2. The guarantee shall be valid if the following operation conditions are observed:

    • the appliance is used in strict accordance with the present manual;
    • the safety rules and requirements are observed.
  3. The guarantee does not apply to regular maintenance, cleaning, installation and setup of the appliance at the owner’s location.

  4. The guarantee does not apply in the following cases:

    • mechanical damage;

    • normal wear of the appliance;

    • non-observance of operation requirements or erroneous actions on the part of the user;

    • improper installation or transportation;

    • natural disasters (lightning, fire, flood, etc.), as well as any other causes beyond

    • the Manufacturer’s or Seller’s control;

    • ingress of foreign objects, liquids or insects into the inside of the appliance;

    • repairs or modifications to the appliance by unauthorized persons;

    • use of the appliance for commercial purposes (loads exceeding normal domestic application), connection of the appliance to utility and telecommunication networks incompliant with national technical standards;

    • failure of the following accessories, if replacement of these is allowed by design and does not involve disassembly of the appliance:
      a) remote control units, rechargeable batteries, replaceable batteries (power cells), external power supply units and chargers;
      b) consumables and accessories (packaging, covers, slings, carry bags, mesh screens, blades, flasks, plates, supports, grilles, spits, hoses, tubes, brushes, nozzles, dust collectors, filters, smell absorbers);

    • for battery-powered appliances – operation with inappropriate or depleted batteries;

    • for rechargeable battery-powered appliances – any damage caused by improper battery charging and recharging.

  5. The present guarantee is provided by the Manufacturer in addition to the consumer rights determined by the applicable legislation and does not limit these rights in any way

  6. The Manufacturer shall not be made liable for possible damage, directly or indirectly inflicted by CENTEK brand products on people, domestic animals, the consumer’s or third persons’ property if such damage is inflicted as the result of non-observance of appliance installation and operation requirements, deliberate or negligent actions (omission) by the consumer or third persons, as well as of force majeure circumstances.

  7. Service centers will only accept appliances in a clean state (there should be  nofood residues, dust and other contamination on the appliance)

The Manufacturer reserves the right to change the design and specifications of the appliance without prior notice.
