Please read these instructions and keep them for future reference.
The electronic activity centre of the toy requires 2x 1.5V AA batteries. Batteries included.
The batteries included in the product are provided for demonstration purposes only, and must be replaced with new ones after purchase

WARNINGS

For your child’s safety:

  • This product must only be assembled by an adult. Do not use the toy until it has been fully assembled and checked.
  • Before use, remove and dispose of any plastic bags and any other packaging (e.g. fasteners, fixing ties etc.) and keep them out of reach of children. Choking hazard and suffocation risk.
  • Warning! Due to the characteristics of this toy, it is not suitable for use by children over 3 years of age, or weighing over 20Kg/44lbs.
  • Before use, check that the product and all of its components have not been damaged during transportation. Should any part be damaged, do not use it and keep it out of reach of children.
  • This product must only be assembled by an adult. Do not use the toy until it has been fully assembled and checked. Do not use this toy until all maintenance operations have been completed.
  • Use this toy under adult supervision only.
  • Regularly inspect the product for signs of wear and damage. Should any part of the product be visibly damaged, do not use, and keep it out of children’s reach.
  • The toy must always be used on flat, level surfaces.
  • Do not use it on roads, access roads, or slopesensure that the toy is used in areas free from obstacles and away from places that could be dangerous (such as swimming pools, canals, lakes, stairs, etc. ).
  • For indoor and outdoor domestic use only.
  • Never let two or more children use it at one time.
  • In ride-on mode, the product must be used by toddlers only when they are able to support themselves on the back without any help.
  • Make sure that your child’s footwear is always correctly laced or fastened.
  • Do not use this product in any way other than what is illustrated in the manual.
  • Do not use this product in very cold temperatures as the plastic material of the product may lose its elasticity and become fragile. Should this happen, keep the product out of reach of children and store it in a warm and dry place.
  • Do not leave the toy exposed to environmental elements (rain, direct sunlight, etc.). In intense cold, plastic materials can become brittle.
  • This toy must be used with caution as children need a certain level of ability in order to be able to ride it safely and avoid falls or collisions which can cause injuries to users or third parties.
  • Before allowing children to use the toy, it is recommended to teach them how to use it properly.

INTRODUCTION

The Billy 2in1 is a ride-on that can be used in 2 configurations:

  • First Steps (recommended from 12 to 18 months of age): by leaning on the rear roll bar, the child can use the product while learning to take their first steps.
  • Ride-on (recommended from 18 to 36 months of age): By sitting on the seat, the child can steer the vehicle freely using the steering wheel, which includes a number of electronic and manual activities:
    • 4 buttons activate exciting sounds, music and lights;
    • the arrows light up when the buttons are pushed;
    • the key turns and switches on the engine rumble.

ASSEMBLY
When assembling for the first time after purchase, proceed according to the following assembly operations, regardless of the desired configuration of use:

  • Insert 2 wheels (Fig. 1-E) and 2 wheel covers (Fig. 1-F) into the front wheel support hubs, and 2 wheels (Fig. 1-E) and 2 wheel covers (Fig. 1-F) into the rear wheel support hubs, as shown in Fig. 2
  • Turn the body of the car upside down and insert the rear wheel support (Fig.3) and screw it in with 2 screws (Fig.1-M) until fully tightened (Fig.3-A)
  • Insert the front wheel support first, followed by the steering wheel, as shown in Fig. 4. There is only one correct way to insert the steering wheel, see Fig.4-A. Insert the screw (Fig. 1-M) and screw it in until fully tightened (Fig.4-B)
  • Insert the seat by hooking the front part into the slots on the car body (Fig. 5-A) and keeping the rear part raised until it is hooked in. At the end of the operation, lower the rear part of the seat until it rests in place.
  • Insert the roll bar as shown in figure 5-B. Push down until you hear it click into place. Check that the roll bar is securely locked in place by pulling it towards you.
  • Unscrew the battery compartment door on the rear of the electronics module (Fig. 6-A), and insert 2x 1.5 Volt AA batteries, respecting the correct polarity (as indicated on the product). Reposition the cover and tighten the screw.
  • Insert the electronics module into its position on the steering wheel and screw it in with 2 self-tapping screws (Fig.1- L), as indicated in figure 6.

LABEL APPLICATION
Apply the label, using the photograph on the package as reference.

REPLACING BATTERIES
Warning: If there is reason to believe that the batteries have been swallowed or inserted into any part of the body, seek immediate medical advice.
Removing and inserting replaceable batteries

  • The batteries must always be replaced by an adult.

  • To replace the batteries:
    1. Loosen the door screw on the rear of the electronics module (Fig. 6-A) with a screwdriver.
    2. Unscrew the battery compartment cover, remove the dead batteries and insert 2 new 1.5V AA batteries, making sure that the polarity is correct (as indicated on the product).
    3. Reposition the cover and tighten the screw.

  • Always keep batteries and tools out of reach of children.

  • Always remove dead batteries from the product to avoid damaging the product should they leak. If the batteries are leaking liquid, replace them immediately, making sure to clean the battery compartment; thoroughly wash your hands if they come into contact with the liquid.

  • Always remove batteries if the product will remain unused for a long period of time.

  • Only use alkaline batteries of the same type or equivalent to the type recommended for this product.

  • Never mix alkaline, standard (zinc-carbon) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.

  • Do not use dead batteries and new batteries together.

  • Do not throw dead batteries into a fire or leave them in the environment; they must be disposed of through waste sorting.

  • Do not short-circuit the power terminals.

  • Do not attempt to charge batteries that are not rechargeable: they may explode.

  • Use of rechargeable batteries is not recommended, the functionality of the product may be impaired.

  • If using rechargeable batteries, remove them from the product before charging and only charge under adult supervision.

  • Remove batteries from the product before disposing of it.

  • The product is not designed to work with replaceable Lithium batteries. WARNING Improper use may cause hazards.

The crossed bin symbol on the appliance indicates that the product, at the end of its life, must be disposed of separately from domestic waste, either by taking it to a separate waste disposal site for electric and electronic appliances or by returning it to your dealer when you buy another similar appliance. The user is responsible for taking the appliance to a special waste disposal site at the end of its life. If the unwanted appliance is collected correctly as separate waste, it can be recycled, treated and disposed of ecologically; this avoids a negative impact on both the environment and health, and contributes towards the recycling of the product’s materials. For further information regarding the waste disposal services available, contact your local waste disposal agency or the shop where you bought the appliance.

The crossed bin symbol on the batteries indicates that, at the end of their life, they must be disposed of separately from domestic waste, either by taking them to a separate waste disposal site for batteries or by returning them to your dealer when you buy similar rechargeable or non-rechargeable batteries. The chemical symbols Hg, Cd, Pb, printed under the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol, indicate the type of substance contained in the batteries: Hg=Mercury, Cd=Cadmium, Pb=Lead. The user is responsible for bringing batteries, at the end of their life, to the appropriate collection facilities in order to facilitate treatment and recycling. The correct separate waste disposal of your old toy will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health and favour the recycling of the materials of which the product is made. For further information regarding the waste disposal services available, contact your local waste disposal agency or the shop where you bought the appliance.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

  • Clean the toy with a soft cloth, lightly dampened with water if necessary. Do not completely submerge the toy in water.
  • When cleaning the activity centre, use a soft dry cloth to avoid damaging the electronic circuitry.
  • Protect the toy from collisions, heat, dust, sand, humidity and water.
