- Space Gym is not a toy.
- Children under 8 years and pets should be kept away from Space Gym.
- Keep all packaging away from children and recycle responsibly.
- To ensure optimum performance always use original Space Gym spare parts.
- Always use Space Gym on a smooth level floor.
- Wear suitable workout clothing, sweat bands and non-slip training shoes.
Setting up and getting started
- Place Space Gym on a hard, flat surface.
- Stand on the textured footpads (4) on the deck (See Fig. A).
- Lift the handle (1) and pull the cord fully out (See Chapter 4).
- Adjust to the top height of your next exercise.
- Turn the starter disc (9) to draw the cord in ( See Fig. B).
- Pull and release handle to spin-up flywheel disc (See Chapter 6).
- Make smooth extension and return strokes (See Chapter 5).
- Keep cord straight as the handle rises and returns (See Chapter 4).
Adjusting Cord Length (See Fig. C)
- Pull handle until the flywheel stops.
- Adjust cord length to upper exercise limit.
- Press button and pull to add 3cm cord length to upper exercise limit.
- Add 3cm to each exercise top extension.
Retract cord (See Fig. D) Twist spool clock-wise to shorten cord.
Extend cord (See Fig. E) Push button to extend cord and pull.
Starting the flywheel disc
- Using your foot, the start disc in the centre of the deck turns in either direction to start the flywheel.
- Every pull of the handle accelerates the flywheel to quickly reach the extents of each exercise.
- A smooth, steady pull, easing off for the transition at the top of the stroke.
- Gradually increase your pull and resist the pullback for maximum benefit.
Get the most out of Space Gym (See Fig. G)
- Reduce the pull force in the last few centimetres of upward pull. This avoids the jerk of a sudden change in direction.
- Resist pullback
Keep the cord straight at all times (See Fig. H) .

- Space Gym is ideal for low stress and extreme fitness work, but if you have any pain or discomfort, take a break and / or consult a doctor or physiotherapist.
Cleaning
- Clean only with a soft cloth and mild anti- bacterial detergent.
- Allow to dry completely before use.
- If the cord gets wet, allow to dry completely before use.
- Do not immerse or allow water inside your Space Gym.
- Check the flywheel screw is tight before use.
Maintenance
- Check the cord is in good condition before use. Remove the flywheel to access the service hole and check the condition of the cord where it exits the central axle (See Chapter 10).
- If in doubt, replace the cord, taking care to route the new cord exactly as shown in chapter 10.
- Do not apply any form of lubricant to Space Gym.
Checking for cord wear
Signs of wear:
- Damage to the outer fibres of the cord
- Cord surface becoming hairy
- Local thinning of the cord
If in doubt, replace the cord. Replacement Cord, parts and accessories: www.spacegym.club
- Remove old cord. Turn spool grip to vertical. Remove rubber bumper.
- Thread cord through rubber bumper, handle & spool.
- Tie knot in cord. Pull knot into spool. Refit rubber bumper.
- Pull cord firmly to check the knot bumper.
Fitting replacement cord- Body
- Cord from handle enters via the metal eye in the deck.
- Cord goes around roller 1, then internally to roller 2.
- Cord then wraps around roller 2 as shown.
- Insert cord through the narrow hole in central axle.
- Knot the cord to secure the end. Pull cord to test knot.
- Replace the flywheel disc, covering the access hole.

Troubleshooting

Flywheel not spinning free
Check there is nothing trapped under the unit. Lift the unit and check that flywheel spins freely.

Flywheel noisy function
Check that the flywheel is spinning true and the screw is tight on the washer

Cord stuck and will not pull
Cord may be jamming. Check cord is routed as shown on Chapter 12. -
Cord sticks repeatedly
Cord may be jamming on roller 1. Check cord is routed as shown on Chapter 12. -
No resistance from flywheel
Flywheel could be loose or detached. Are flywheel, spacer, washer, screw in place and tight. (See Chapter 16). -
Space Gym rocks
Check floor is flat and all six rubber feet are in place. Check for obstacles. -
Fly wheel hits floor
Do not use on carpet or foam backed flooring. If disc is not true, re-seat disc and tighten screw. (See Chapter 16). -
Handle spool jamming
Press release button and pull hard to free cord. Check cord is correctly fitted. (See Chapter 11)

Fitting the hanging loop
- The hanging loop is a carry handle and the wall bracket adapter. Screw firmly to base moulding.
- The hanging loop is packed with two screw plates and four self-tapping screws.
- Insert the legs of the hanging loop into the base and secure firmly with the plates and screws as shown.

Replacing the flywheel disc
- Remove the flywheel with the supplied allen key.
- Order flywheel – Space gym. club
- Fit both discs with the washer and screw, NO SPACER!
- Tighten flywheel screw firmly.
- A: 1× Disc

- C: Washer
- D: Screw
- E: Allen Key
- F: 2× discs
Wall and storage bracket
- Also suitable as a wall anchor with 50kg fastenings.
- Supplied with hanging loop to connect with unit.
- Store your Space Gym on the wall.
- Fitting directions and fasteners in bracket carton.
- With strong 50kg anchors, lateral pull exercises extend your workout scope.

This product has got a 2 year warranty
