The MOTOTRBO 20/25 kHz Wide Band Entitlement Key is a device used for installing and activating wide band functionality on MOTOTRBO radios. It allows users to access wider frequency bands, enabling enhanced communication capabilities.
Product Usage Instructions
- Ensure that the MOTOTRBO radio is powered off before installing the Wide Band Entitlement Key.
- Locate the USB port on the radio. It is usually located on the side or back of the device.
- Insert the Wide Band Entitlement Key into the USB port. Make sure it is firmly connected.
- Power on the MOTOTRBO radio.
- Once the radio is powered on, it will automatically detect the Wide Band Entitlement Key and initiate the installation process.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation. This may include accepting terms and conditions or confirming the activation.
- After the installation is complete, the wide band functionality will be activated on your MOTOTRBO radio.
- You can now access wider frequency bands and enjoy enhanced communication capabilities.

How To Install A MOTOTRBO 20 / 25 kHz Wide Band Entitlement Key
- You must be connected to the internet.
- You should be using a relatively current version of at least CPS Gen 1, Version 13 or higher.
- You must have all firewall and anti-virus turned off in order to communicate with the Motorola server. Please make sure no ports are blocked on your router. Do not use VPN. You should have a clean copy of CPS installed and a geographically based IP address in the US.
- This key is good for the life of the hard drive and only the computer you install it on, so please choose your computer wisely and be mindful when replacing or reformatting the hard drive.
- In addition, this EID key is good for only one generation of the CPS, so please choose your application wisely.
- We are not responsible for any lost keys due to installation errors caused by a failure to follow instructions.
- We are not responsible for compatibility issues.
- In the CPS Gen 1, go to FEATURES. In CPS Gen 2, go to Menu, Licenses.
- Then REGISTER APPLICATION FEATURES (Not Device Features).
- Enter EID but CUT AND PASTE.
- In CPS Gen 1, then ACTIVATE. In CPS Gen 2, REGISTER and then ACTIVATE.
- You can then CONFIRM by going to the VIEW APPLICATION FEATURES.
- The 20/25 Khz Wide Band entitlement field should read PURCHASED.
