This manual is conceived for ofering you all of the necessary info regarding instalation, using and maintenance of the machine. For a correctly and safely use of the machine, please, read this manual before instalation and using.

SAFETY MEASURES

WARNING

A risk of fire and electrical shock exists in all electrical appliances and may cause injury or death. Please follow all safety instructions.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury to people including the following:

  • Read all instructions before using appliance.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • Do not immerse probe, cord or plug in water or other liquids. See instructions for cleaning.
  • Do not use appliance unattended.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
  • Always attach probe to griddle before plugging cord into wall outlet. To disconnect, turn temperature control knob to 0 then remove plug from wall outlet.
  • Do not operate any damaged appliance. Do not operate with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the authorized service center for examination, repair, electrical or mechanical adjustment.
  • Do not use outdoors or while standing in a damp area.
  • Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
  • Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
  • Use extreme caution when disposing of hot grease.
  • Do not use appliance except as indicated in these instructions.
  • The use of accessory attachments not recommended by this appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
  • Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
  • Only the appropriate connector must be used.
  • The appliance is to be connected to a socket-outlet having an earthing contact.
  • Type Y: If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  • This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
  • Always disconnect the unit from the power supply if left unattended and before assembly, disassembly or cleaning.
  • The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating.

WARNING

This electrical appliance contains a heating function. Surfaces, also different than the functional surfaces, can develop high temperatures. Since temperatures are differently perceived by different persons, this equipment shall be used with

CAUTION. The equipment shall be touch only at intended handles and gripping surfaces, and use heat protection like gloves or similar. Surfaces other than intended gripping surfaces shall get sufficiently time to the cool down before getting touched. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. This appliance must not be immersed. This appliance is intended to be used in household only.

USING THE APPLIANCE

  1. Before first use, see cleaning instructions and hints for care and use of non-stick surface.
  2. Connect the main plug to a suitable socket.
  3. Set the desired temperature by means of the temperature control 0/1/2/3/4/5. The indicator lamp lights up.
  4. The unit on its fisrt use might emit light smell. It is however of no consequence and lasts only briefly. Ensure sufficient ventilation.
  5. As soon as this temperature is attainted, the check light goes off.
  6. When the grill has cooled down, the grill is heated up again automatically. The indicator lamp glows till the set temperature is attained again.
  7. Always turn the temperature control 0/1/2/3/4/5 to 0 to switch off the grill.
  8. Pull out the mains plug from the socket and pull the plug from the connecting socket.
  9. Caryy the grill only by the handles.
  10. Let the grill cool down outside the reach of the children.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

NOTE:
No parts should be placed in an automatic dishwasher.

  1. Unplug and allow to cool before cleaning or moving.
  2. Remove cord set (DO NOT IMMERSE IN WATER), wipe with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.

CAUTION: Probe and probe receptacle must always be completely dry before use. The connector must be removed before the appliance is cleaned and that the appliance inlet must be dried before the appliance is used again.

HINTS FOR CARE AND USE OF NON-STICK SURFACE

  • To avoid scratching the non-stick surface, do not stack objects on grill.
  • Use medium to low heat for best cooking results. Very high temperatures can cause discoloration and shorten the life span of any non-sticvk surface. If higher temperatures are necessary, preheat on medium for a few minutes.
  • Use only nylon, plastic or wooden ustensils with care to avoid scratching the non-stick surface. Never cut food on the grill.
  • Remove hard stains with a plastic scouring pad and mild dish washing liquid.
