Appliance description

Warrant

A warranty period of 12 months applies to commercial use and 24 months apply to private use and commences on the day of purchase of the device.

Warranty applies exclusively to failures due to defective material or workmanship. An original sale slip with indication of date of sale must be presented in case of claiming for the warranty rights.

Warranty does not cover unprofessional use such as device overload, violent use, damage caused by third party or foreign materials, failure to comply with operations and assembly manual, and normal wear and tear.

General safety instructions

To prevent any injury and damage, it is necessary to follow these general safety instructions.

  • Please read carefully the Operating Instructions and unconditionally follow all instructions included in them. Familiarise with the appliance, its correct handling and safety regulations using these Operating Instructions.
  • Keep the Instructions for future reference.
  • If you give the appliance to other persons, then provide them with the Operating Instructions, too.

We are not liable for any accidents and damages caused as a result of failure to follow these Operating Instructions.

Safety instructions for first putting the appliance into
operation 

  • Take suitable measures to prevent children from accessing the appliance.
  • Immediately replace any faulty components.
  • Use original spare parts only.
  • We are not liable for any damage caused as a result of any unauthorised repair and unauthorised handling or use contrary to the use as designated.

Sweeping of any gel, liquid, combustible, explosive, hot and unhealthy substances prohibited.

Emergency Action

Apply the first aid adequate to the injury and get qualified medical assistance as quickly as possible. Protect the injured person from more accidents and calm him/her down.

For the sake of eventual accident, in accordance with DIN 13164, a workplace has to be fitted with a first-aid kit. It is essential to replace any used material in the first-aid kit immediately after it has been used. If you seek help, state the following pieces of information:

  1. Accident site
  2. Accident type
  3. Number of injured persons
  4. Injury type (s)

Use as designated

Sweeping of flat and dry surfaces – e.g. entries, terraces, courtyards, etc.

Disposal

The disposal instructions are based on icons on the appliance or its package. The description of all meanings can be found in the “Marking“ Chapter.

Transport package disposal
The package protects the appliance against any damage during transport. Package materials are usually chosen according to their environment friendliness and disposal method and can therefore be recycled. Putting the package into material circulation saves raw materials and reduces waste disposal costs. Parts of the package (e.g. foils, styropor) can be dangerous to children. Risk of suffocation! Keep parts of the package out of reach of children and dispose them as quickly as possible.

Handling requirements

The operating staff must carefully read the Operating Instructions before using the appliance.

Qualification

Apart from the detailed instruction by a professional no special qualification is necessary for using the appliance.

Transport and storage
For any longer storage the appliance must be thoroughly cleaned and stored so as unauthorised persons could not access it.

  • – Empty the dirt collecting container
  • Adjust the brushes to relieve them
  • Store the appliance when it is dry
  • To save spaces, the sliding handle can be folded. Loosen the screws, pull the sliding handle out and fold forward.

Assembly

When putting the appliance into working order, it is enough just to fold up the sliding handle and tighten the screws included in the supply. Now adjust the sliding handle height. Loosen the screws, select the required fixture and fix the sliding handle in the desired height.

Operation

Remove the accessories from the collection container
and check that they are complete.
Guide the feed brushes onto the corresponding axles
and fasten each of them with 3 screws (Fig. 2).

Emptying the dirt collecting container

If you want to take out the dirt collecting container to empty it, take it by its handle and pull up.

If metal, glass or sharp objects have been swept, it is necessary to use firm working gloves when emptying the dirt collecting container.

Inspections and maintenance

Use a wet cloth for plastic parts cleaning. Do not use any cleaning agents, solvents or sharp objects.

After every use Remove the appliance off dust and dirt. Empty the dirt collecting container. Except the above, the appliance needs not be maintained any further.
