CONTENTS
A: PPE Firewall Insulator
B: Safety Wire
Step 1.
Remove the stock firewall insulator.
Using a 10mm socket and plastic clip puller, remove all fasteners securing the
stock insulator to the vehicle firewall.
Step 2.
On the vehicle firewall is a small plastic stub (A). It can be left on the
vehicle or trimmed off using a pair of cutters (B). We purposely removed the
factory hole in the insulator for the stub to prevent heat from affecting the
air conditioner unit that is located on the inside of the firewall.
Step 3.
Install the new PPE insulator firewell in the same position as the stock
insulator using the same stock hardware removed in step 1 (C).
Note: the woven silica inner panel will be facing the vehicle firewall. Use the safety wire to connect the top right corners (above the steering column) of the insulator (D).
Installation is complete.
