Thank you for purchasing a Sealey product. Manufactured to a high standard,
this product will, if used according to these instructions, and properly
maintained, give you years of trouble-free performance.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS, WARNINGS & CAUTIONS. USE THE PRODUCT CORRECTLY AND
WITH CARE FOR THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH IT IS INTENDED. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY CAUSE
DAMAGE AND/OR PERSONAL INJURY AND WILL INVALIDATE THE WARRANTY. KEEP THESE
INSTRUCTIONS SAFE FOR FUTURE USE.
SAFETY
√ Familiarise yourself with the applications, limitations, and hazards of the
ratchet load binder.
√ Maintain the ratchet load binder in good condition (use an authorized
service agent).
√ Maintain correct balance and footing. Ensure the floor is not slippery and
wear non-slip shoes.
× DO NOT operate the ratchet load binder while standing on the load.
× DO NOT operate the ratchet load binder if any parts are missing, as this
may cause failure and/or possible personal injury.
× DO NOT use the ratchet load binder for a task it is not designed to
perform.
× DO NOT make any modifi cations to the ratchet load binder.
× DO NOT exceed the rated capacity of the ratchet load binder.
× DO NOT allow untrained persons to operate the ratchet load binder.
× DO NOT use the ratchet load binder when you are tired or under the infl
uence of alcohol, drugs, or intoxicating medication.
× DO NOT allow untrained persons to operate the ratchet load binder.
WARNING! operate the handle with caution. Keep your body clear of the
path of the handle as it may whip, causing possible personal injury.
√ Prior to each use inspect the ratchet load binder. Replace or repair damaged
parts. Use recommended parts only. Unauthorized parts may be dangerous and
will invalidate the warranty.
√ Familiarise yourself with the regulations regarding the size and number of
chain systems required for securing loads to lorries etc.
√ Periodically check the tension of the ratchet load binder, and re-tighten it
if required. Tension may decrease due to load settlement during transport.
× DO NOT allow the ratchet load binder to bear against an object whilst
under tension. This will cause a side load.
√ Use the ratchet load binder in a well-lit location.
WARNING! DO NOT use an extension (cheaters) bar. An extension bar can
overload the ratchet load binder with too much tension, which may damage the
ratchet load binder and may also cause the handle to snap back quickly when
the ratchet load binder is attempted to be released, causing possible personal
injury. Further personal injury may be caused if the extension bar slips or
whips off the handle.
WARNING! The warnings cautions and instructions referred to in the manual
cannot cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be
understood that common sense and caution are factors that cannot be built into
this product but must be applied by the operator.

Manufactured from heat-treated, drop-forged steel for added strength. Suitable for clamping, binding, anchoring, and tying down large loads. Ideal for farmers and commercial drivers. Fitted with 354mm handle for extra leverage.

OPERATION
NOTE: Ensure all Safety Instructions in Section 1 are read and understood
and carried out before use and save the instructions and warnings for future
reference.
4.1. ATTACHING THE RATCHET LOAD BINDER
4.1.1. Turn the pawl to the neutral position, to disengage the ratchet load
binder gear.
4.1.2. By hand, unscrew the ratchet load binder hooks, ensuring not to exceed
the maximum extension length.
4.1.3. Arrange chains overload to be secured.
4.1.4. Attach the ratchet load binder hooks to the chain while taking up as
much slack as possible.
4.1.5. Engage the pawl from the neutral position, and begin ratcheting the
chain to the desired tension required.
4.1.6. Wrap any excess binding chain around the ratchet load binder and secure
it with a cable tie or small gauge wire (not supplied).
4.2. REMOVING THE BINDER
4.2.1. Unwrap the excess chain from around the ratchet load binder.
4.2.2. Switch the pawl to the opposite setting and start ratcheting the
ratchet load binder until the chain becomes slack enough to remove the ratchet
load binder.
MAINTENANCE
5.1. Clean the binder after each use and wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Store in
a safe, dry, childproof location.
5.2. Lubricate the threads regularly with suitable grease (not supplied).
ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools,
accessories, and packaging should be sorted, taken to a recycling center, and
disposed of in a manner that is compatible with the environment. When the
product becomes completely unserviceable and requires disposal, drain any
fluids (if applicable) into approved containers and dispose of the product and
fluids according to local regulations.

Warranty: The guarantee is 12 months from the purchase date, proof of
which is required for any claim.
