- Step 1. Vehicle off and secure. Engine cool.
- Step 2. Remove rearward screws that secure the factory pan. Fluid will begin to drain. Loosen side screws to increase fluid flow. Doing this will minimize the volume of remaining fluid when pan is removed. Remove the remainder of the screws and remove the stock pan. Be cautious of the fluid remaining in the stock pan. Retain OEM gasket. Recycle fluid.
- Step 3. Carefully clean OEM gasket.
- Step 4. Thoroughly clean mating surface.
- Step 5. Install the clean OEM gasket into the channel as shown. (FIG 1)
- Step 6. Assemble the 20 M6 screws and washers for easier installation.
- Step 7. Lift PPE Pan into position and thread two M6 screw and washer assemblies into opposite sides of the Pan to hold in place. Finger tight for now.
- Step 8. Install remaining M6 screw and washer assemblies. Finger tight for now.
- Step 9. Tighten M6 screw assemblies in a crossing pattern as shown. (FIG 2) Torque to a final spec of 8-10 ft lbs.
- Step 10. Check that the Drain Plug and NPT Plug are tight.
- Step 11. Fill with recommended fluid. Start engine. Check for leaks.
Installation complete.
