OPERATION
Placement and powering on
Before inserting the power plug into the socket, ensure the socket is suitable
to support a voltage between 220–240V with a frequency of 50Hz.
Ensure there is at least a 1 metre clearance between the fan heater and any
objects or walls surrounding it.
Plug the power cord into a power socket and switch the socket on.
Fan/heat knob
Turn the fan/heat knob to the desired setting.
Thermostat knob
Turn the thermostat knob to ‘MAX’. The fan heater will begin running and the
power indicator will illuminate. Run the fan heater until the desired room
temperature is reached.
Turn the thermostat anticlockwise until you hear a click which will switch the
fan heater off. The fan heater will then periodically turn on/off
automatically to maintain the desired room temperature.
Note:
The fan heater will not switch on if the desired room temperature is higher
than the current room temperature.
Oscillation
- Toggle the oscillation switch located on the back of the fan heater to the ‘–’ position to turn oscillation on.
- Toggle the oscillation switch to the ‘O’ position to turn oscillation off.
Powering off
Turn the thermostat knob to the ‘MIN’ position and the turn the fan/heat knob
to the ‘0’ position. Switch the power off at the socket.
Fall protection
This fan heater is protected with a safety switch that turns the fan heater
off automatically if it falls over or is laying in an excessively horizontal
angle. This assists in preventing risk of fire, overheating, and other
accidents.
Place the fan heater upright to resume normal operation.
Overheating protection
This heater is protected with thermal cut off protection that switches the fan
heater off automatically if it overheats for any reason (for example,
something covering the air inlet or outlet).
Switch off the power at the socket and unplug the power cord. Remove any objects and ensure there are no obstructions within a 1 metre radius of the fan heater. Wait for the fan heater to cool. The thermal cut off will automatically reset.
Check for any damage to the fan heater, power cord, or plug. If there is no damage, plug the power cord back into the socket and switch the socket on. Resume normal use.
Note:: If the fan heater does not turn on, stop use immediately and contact help.Kogan.com for assistance.
CLEANING & CARE
Ensure the fan heater is switched off and unplugged before cleaning.
- Using a soft damp cloth with hot water and neutral detergent, wipe down the exterior of the fan heater. Allow to dry.
- Check that the air inlet and air outlet are free of dust and dirt. Deposits of dust and dirt may lead to risk of overheating. Clean with a feather duster or vacuum cleaner where necessary.
Notes
- Do not use abrasive materials or liquids on the fan heater.
- Do not touch the heating elements when cleaning.
Storage
Ensure the fan heater has cooled before storing. Store the fan heater in a
cool, dry place.
