SAFETY

  • By ignoring the safety instructions the manufacturer cannot be held responsible for the damage.
  • The appliance must be placed on a stable, level surface.

Batteries

  • Do not expose the battery to high temperatures or direct sunlight. Never throw batteries into the fire. There is a danger of an explosion!
  • Keep batteries away from children. They are not a toy!
  • Do not open the batteries by force.
  • Avoid contact with metallic objects. (Rings, nails, screws et cetera)there is a danger of short-circuiting!
  • As a result of a short-circuit batteries may heat up considerably or even catch fire. this may result in burns.
  • For your safety, the battery poles should be covered with adhesive strips during transport.
  • If a battery leaks, do not rub your eyes with your hands. If in contact with the liquid, the hands should be washed thoroughly and eyes rinsed out with clear water, if symptoms persist please consult a doctor.
  • Do not ingest battery, risk of Chemical Burn Hazard
  • This product contains a coin/button cell battery. If the coin/button cell battery is swallowed, it can cause severe burns in just 2 hours and can lead to death.
  • Keep new and used batteries away from children.
  • If the battery compartment does not close securely stop using the product and keep it away from children.
  • If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.
  • Waste electrical products should not be disposed of with household waste. Please recycle where facilities exist. Check with your local Authority or local store for recycling advice.
  • This product complies with conformity requirements of the applicable European regulations or directives.
  • The Green Dot is the registered trademark of Der Grüne Punkt Duales System Deutschland GmbH and is protected as a trademark worldwide. Safety Coin cell

BATTERY WARNING: KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN Store spare batteries securely. Dispose of used batteries immediately and safely. If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.

  • If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children.
  • Be alert, there are no obvious symptoms if a child has swallowed a button or coin battery. If your child appears unwell and there are no obvious symptoms, then check to make sure there are no batteries missing from any items they have been around. If you suspect they have swallowed a coin/button cell, then seek medical attention. Similarly, if they vomit bright red fresh blood seek immediate medical help.
  • Always remain vigilant with discharged or spare button or coin batteries in the home and in products that contain them.

PRODUCT CONTAINS A COIN/BUTTON CELL

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

  • Take the appliance and accessories out of the box. Remove the stickers, protective foil or plastic from the device.
  • Always weigh/use the scale on a hard and flat surface. When you are measuring, please keep still.
  • It is advisable to take measurements at the same time of the day and the same place.
  • Always remove your shoes and socks, it is advisable to discard as much as possible clothing, wipe clean your feet before using and dry them well. Never use the appliance with wet feet.
  • Step on the weighing platform gently and when you are measuring, please keep still.
  • Select with the little knob aside the battery holder the weight measuring unit KG, LB or ST.

USE

  • Stand on the scale. The scale will turn on automatically.
  • Always stand in the centre of the platform.
  • Within seconds, personal weight is established electronically and displayed.
  • Once you step off the scale after weighting, it will switch itself off automatically after a few seconds. Display codes E :
  • Scale overload. Please step off to avoid damage. Lo :
  • Replace the battery. Type of battery CR2032 Lithium.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
  • Clean the appliance with a damp cloth. Never use harsh and abrasive cleaners, scouring pads or steel wool, which damages the appliance.

ENVIRONMENT

This appliance should not be put into the domestic garbage at the end of its durability but must be offered at a central point for the recycling of electric and electronic domestic appliances. This symbol on the appliance, instruction manual and packaging puts your attention to this important issue. The materials used in this appliance can be recycled. By recycling used domestic appliances, you contribute an important push to the protection of our environment. Ask your local authorities for information regarding the point of recollection. The European directive for batteries (2006/66/EC) states that it is not permitted to throw batteries away with household waste. They may contain substances that are harmful to the environment. Empty batteries can be handed over to a local, public collection point or a local recycling centre. To avoid overheating as a result of a short circuit, lithium batteries must be removed from the product and the poles must be protected using insulation tape or some other means against short-circuiting.
