WARNING NOTES

  • Only use the brush supplied to clean the blade.

  •  Always check the device before use. Do not use the device if damaged, as personal injury may occur.
  • This device may be used by children 8 years of age or above, or by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities or lack of experience and/or knowledge, only if they have been supervised or instructed in the safe use of the device and have Never allow children to play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children unless they are over 8 years old and supervised. Keep children younger than 8 years away from the device. Extreme caution is required when the device is used near children or left unattended.

FIRST STEPS

Important: always test the trimmer on a small area of your arm or leg before using for the first time. If you experience a hypersensitive reaction or an allergic reaction, discontinue use immediately. Do not use the trimmer on sensitive or irritated skin.

BEFORE FIRST USE

Inserting or replacing battery:

  1. Make sure your device is switched off and remove the cap. Hold the centre of the device so that the trimmer head points to your left hand (if you are right-handed). Swivel the battery compartment, so that the battery compartment can be seen (diagram 1).
  2. If necessary, remove the old battery. Insert a new AA battery so that the positive terminal points to the device (diagram 2).
  3. To refit the battery compartment cover, slide it over the battery and into the cover. Swivel the battery compartment cover clockwise until the arrow on the main part of the device and the line on the grey battery compartment cover are in the same position.

Important: to avoid damaging your trimmer, make sure that the battery is inserted in the correct direction . Pay attention to the +/- signs. If your trimmer is not used for a long period of time, take the battery out of the device.

Warning: attempting to force the cover on incorrectly may damage the unit.

  1. Remove the cover and turn on your device by pressing the Power button (diagram 3). Please note that the light and the trimmer are switched on.
  2. Hold the trimmer at a 45 degree angle to the desired area and trim against your hair growth (diagram 4).
  3. Continue trimming against the hair growth until the hair is removed (diagrams 5 and 6).

Tip: for the cleanest hair removal, during trimming pull your skin taut with one hand.

USE THE COMB, ACCESSORY

Your also get two comb attachments with your trimmer, to trim hair. The two- sided 2 mm/4 mm comb is for trimming shorter eyebrow and beard hair. The angled 2 mm/4 mm body comb is for trimming longer body hair.

  1. Make sure that the trimmer is turned off.

  2. Slide the right side of the comb attachment onto the trimmer head (diagram 7). Make sure that the grooves on the comb attachment match the grooves on the trimmer head.
    Note: if you are using the 2 mm/4 mm two-sided comb attachment, make sure your desired trim size matches the direction of the trimmer.
    Note: when using the angled 2 mm/4 mm comb attachment, make sure the length you want to achieve is displayed and rests against your skin. Example: to achieve a 2 mm length, make sure the 2 mm side is flush with the skin.

  3. To remove the comb attachment, switch off the device, hold the top centre of the device and simply pull off the comb.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

  • If your device starts to run slowly, clean the blades as described below and add a drop of baby oil to the blades.
  • If your device continues to run slowly after cleaning and oiling, replace the battery.

Cleaning the trimmer head

  1. Switch off the trimmer and remove the battery. (see Step 1 of „Inserting /or replacing battery.“)

  2.  Remove any hair or dust with the cleaning brush (diagram 8).

  3. Do not wash the trimmer head with water.
    Note: The comb attachments can be washed. Make sure though, that they are completely dry before you reuse them.

  4. Ensure that the cap is on your device before you store it.
