Product Usage Instructions

Standby Mode

After 5 minutes of inactivity, the display will switch to Standby Mode and the memory will be retained. To return the Scaleto active mode, simply touch any button or place weight on the Scale.

Auto Shut Off

If there is no activity for 45 minutes, the Scale will automatically shut off and the memory will be lost. To turn the Scale on again, press the power button.

Manual Shut Off

To turn off the Scale manually, press and hold the Power Button until the display is blank or return the display to the underside of the Scale.

Pull-Out Display

The display unit can be pulled away from the base unit for better visibility when a large container is placed on the platform. To pull out the display unit, simply pull on the front tab and position it in front of the base unit. To retract, reposition the display unit in the base and magnets will secure it in place.

Zeroing and Add & Weigh Operation

To weigh ingredients in a container, follow the steps below:

Press the Zero Button to offset the weight of the container, so that only the weight of the ingredients to be added is displayed.
Add the container to the Scale, then press the Zero Button to set the weight to zero.
Add the ingredients and the weight will appear on the display.
Press the Zero Button to reset the display back to zero again and continue to add ingredients until complete or until the maximum capacity is reached.

Care

Battery Loading
Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the Scale. Push the tab in to remove the battery door. Ensure that the +/ ends of the batteries line up with the +/ symbols in the battery compartment. Replace the battery door.

Cleaning
Wipe the glass platform clean with a damp cloth. Do not run the Scale under water or put it in the dishwasher.

Storage
Do not place heavy objects on top of the Scale during storage as it may affect its accuracy.

Q: How do I switch between different units of measurement?

Pull-Out Display
Pull the display unit away from the Scale to use. Scale will automatically turn on when display is pulled out

Backlight
Backlight will turn on when any button is pressed or any weight is placed on the scale. To preserve battery life, the backlight will automatically turn off after 30 seconds.

Power/Zero Button
Press the Zero Button to reset the Scale before adding additional ingredients or to offset the weight of a plate or bowl. Hold button down for 3 seconds to shut Scale off, or return display to underside of Scale

Unit Button
Press the Unit Button to switch between measuring in ounces, ounces and pounds, grams, or grams and kilograms

Weight Capacity Indicator
The Weight Capacity Indicator shows the used capacity of the Scale between 0 and 11 lbs (or 0 and 5 kg). When maximum capacity is reached, all bars in the indicator will flash and “Err” will appear on the display. To protect Scale, remove excess weight immediately.

Low Battery Indicator
The Low Battery Indicator will appear in the lower-left corner when batteries need to be changed

USE

Standby Mode

Zeroing and Add & Weigh Operation

To weigh ingredients in a container, press the zero button to offset the weight of the container, so that only the weight of the ingredients to be added is displayed.
The zero button can also be used to weigh multiple ingredients consecutively without removing items from the Scale. Pressing zero will zero-out the Scale before adding a new ingredient
