Installing the QBB-6001 Expansion Audio Enclosure

The QBB-6001 expansion audio cabinet is surface mounted. The QBB-6001 consists of the backbox and door. Install all cabinets and enclosures empty. Pull all required wiring in through the conduit holes provided (must be punched out). Do not mount the modules until mechanical installation is complete and all wires have been fed into the cabinets and enclosures.

Note: It is extremely important to connect the audio cabinet’s earth-ground point (chassis ground) to the earth ground. Conduits should be brought in only through the knockouts provided in the
backbox.

Attach Mircom Label to Door

You can install the door so that it opens either way: left to right, or right to left. There are six holes in the door so you can attach the metal Mircom label to either side, depending on how the door is installed.

  1. Remove the adhesive backing from the metal Mircom label.
  2. Attach the label to the bottom of the door by sliding the studs on the label through the holes.
  3. From the inside of the door, use pliers to push the washers on to the studs. Push the flat sides of the washers against the door.
