LED Accent kit Installation Guide
Prior to Installation Upon receiving your new light kit, please test the kit first by temporarily connecting the red power wire to a 12 volt source and the black ground wire to an unpainted exposed metal engine ground. Once the wires are secured, power on the kit to ensure all led strips function prior to installing. If all lights appear to be in working order, power down the kit in preparation for installation.

Installation

Step l Begin by first laying the LED light strips in a manner similar to the way you will install them. Take time to make certain the wires will be able to be easily routed to their desired destination without being pinched, cut or exposed to heat. CAUTION: Be sure to keep the wires and strips away from all moving parts Take special caution to avoid steering components.
Step 2 Locate a dry accessible location to mount the control box. NOTE: the control box is not waterproof, take caution to shelter it from the elements. If the control box is exposed to water the device will fail. If any water damage and /or corrosion occurs to the control box it will VOID all warranties.
Step 3 Clean the proposed mounting surface with an alcohol prep pad or equivalent cleaning solution. NOTE: The surface must be free of any oils, moisture, dirt and wax in order for adhesive to properly bond. The mounting surface must be between 45 to 85 Fahrenheit to achieve the best bond from the double sided adhesive.
Step 4 Temporarily place lighting strips in the intended mounting position and loosely route the wires to the planned control box mounting area. Secure the wires to the desired mounting location using zip ties [ not included ].
Step 5 Once wires are secured and you confirm the surface is clean and dry, secure each strip by using the supplied double sided 3M adhesive tape. Use wire ties at each end of the strip to act as a secondary anchor and mounting point for each strip. NOTE: The wire ties are a very important step and should not be skipped, they ensure the strips stay adhered and in place while the vehicle is in use and during seasonal temperature changes. Once these steps are complete and the strips are secure, allow ample time for adhesive to settle and cure.
Step 6 Route the red power wire from the control box to a positive (+)12 volt source. Route the black ground wire to a well-known ground [-]location. If the wires need to be extended to fit use automotive grade 14-16 GA wire for the red and black power wires. Once everything is properly installed connect the power supply lines. NOTE: Failure to properly mount all components prior to connecting the power supply may cause the inline fuse on the red power wire to blow.
Step 7 The kit was designed using a modular locking plug system for connecting the LED lighting strips to the control box and vice versa. The wires are not to be cut in an attempt to shorten or lengthen them. If the wires or connectors are found to be cut or modified in any way, the manufacturer warranty is null and void ANY alteration of the control box, lighting strips or wires may impact kit functionality and void warranties expressed or implied
Step 8 The LED Strips were designed to be cut to size if necessary. Use caution and only cut along the predefined cut lines as indicated on the LED strips Cutting outside of these lines will void warranty.
Step 9 See the included users guide for instructions on downloading the required app to your device and for additional information on how to control your new LED kit .
Optional Wired Remote Button The optional wired remote button can be installed to control your unit without a Blue tooth device. To install the remote attached the included remote button to the open connection in the led harness. Run the wire to a convenient mounting location and mount the button into Place.

Troubleshooting

If the kit or lights do not appear ta operate as intended first check the installed inline mini fuse. If the fuse is blown, check the wires on the entire kit to make sure that they are not cut, pinched or burned. Fix any problem with the wires and retest. If there is no damage to any to the wires and there is no water damage visible to the control box, replace the fuse and test again. If the situation is not resolved, clean the battery terminals and [+] and [-] connection points. Test kit again. If situation is not improved please contact customer service at 800-489-2300.
