USAGE
HEATER OPERATION
Always operate the heater in the upright position following all instructions
and recommendations listed in this manual.
HEATER LOCATION
Place the heater in the area of the room that is coldest.
HEATER CONNECTION
Some models require a Hardwire connection. If your heater needs to be
hardwired, please follow the steps below.
- Remove the top cover of the control panel by removing the st 3.5×10 screw.
- Place the 3/C 6AWG power cord onto the connection post. Secure power cord using the power cord fix.
- Replace control panel plate using the screws to secure.
WARNING: Never make the connection by yourself. It must be done by a qualified electrician.
NOTE: To prevent overloading a circuit, do not plug the heater into a circuit that is servicing other electrical needs.
TURNING HEATER ON
Some models come equipped with a pre-installed plug. If your heater comes with
a plug, please plug into an electrical outlet before turning the heater ON.
To start the heater, turn the heater ON by turning the POWER KNOB away from the OFF « 0 » position to the FAN ONLY setting or to one of the two heat settings:
- CZ277 & CZ279 Series
- – LOW HEAT
- – HIGH HEAT
For faster heat up or to increase the heat output, turn the THERMOSTAT CONTROL all the way to the MAX position. The thermostat function controls the temperature output. To decrease the heat output, turn the knob towards the MIN position. To completely shut off heater, turn the POWER KNOB to the OFF « 0 » position and unplug the heater.
NOTE: During the heaters initial use, you may experience a slight odor or smoking. This is the result of the heating element lubrication “burning off”. This is normal and will go away after a few minutes of use.
HEAT SETTING
These heaters have a thermostat and two heat settings.
SETTING THERMOSTAT
First, turn the thermostat to MAX and let the heater operate with full power
input. When the room reaches the desired temperature, turn the thermostat to
left until it switches off. The thermostat will then switch on and off
automatically to control the room temperature according to the preset value
and keep the room temperature constant.
TURNING HEATER OFF
To shut the heater off, turn the POWER KNOB to the OFF « 0 » position.
NOTE: When the unit is powered off, the fan may continue to run for a while to cool off the heating element and dispense any retained heat. The unit will then shut off automatically. Heater should be unplugged when not in use.
TILT ANGLE ADJUSTMENT
This heater can be tilted to adjust the direction of the air to the desired
angle. To adjust the tilt angle, loosen the adjustment knob at both sides of
heater and gently press down the front or the back of heater housing. The
heater will be tilted. Once the heater is tilted to the desired angle, tighten
the adjustment knobs on both sides to keep it in place.
IMPORTANT SAFETY FEATURES
OVERHEAT PROTECTION
The heater is equipped with an automatic overheat protection device located
inside the body of the heater. If the heater grille is obstructed, or if the
heater gets too hot for any reason, the automatic overheat protection device
will turn the heater off. To reset the heater, simply turn power off and
unplug the heater for 10 minutes until it cools down and you may plug in and
restart the heater. Be sure that the heater is on a smooth level surface with
no obstructions.
