HOW TO CHANGE FROM CELSIUS TO FAHRENHEIT
Just digital heaters are covered by this. Hold the plus and minus (+ and -) buttons down simultaneously for around five seconds to set a unit from F to C or C to F. The updated temperature will flash on the screen as confirmation that the temperature reading has been successfully adjusted.
HOW TO RESET TEMPERATURE
- Put your thermostat in the off position to turn it off.
- Locate and shut off the breaker that supplies power to your HVAC system.
- After waiting for 30 seconds, re-engage the breaker.
- Restart your thermostat.
FAQs
I have to heat the 12-by-12-foot area to 130 degrees Fahrenheit to “destroy bug beds.” Have you got any for this?
The insulated space I was heating with this device remained comfortably warm in a 20° outside temperature. The area is roughly 17×17. Though I’m not sure if you’ll hit 130 degrees. To get rid of your bed bugs, you might want to try something more potent, like a flame thrower.
Will this item work with a 240 volt outlet and 12 gauge wire? or do I require wire with a bigger gauge?
I’d strongly advise using 10 or 8 gauge wire.
number of CFM
Certainly, this will heat up my 45′ x 12′ patio room!
What is the highest temperature it can withstand in degrees?
My shed has a 12′ x 16′ footprint and an 8′ peak. It is protected. My heater is on medium and easily maintains a temperature of 60 degrees.
This heater’s wattage is either 5000 or 4800.
If my memory serves, the answer is 4800. The difference between 4800 and 5000 heat watts cannot be felt. It easily warms up my two-car, insulated garage.
Is it compatible with a nema 6-20R outlet?
The NEMA 6-20R receptacle is incompatible with this item since it has a NEMA 6-30R plug. Keep in mind that you must use a circuit that is correctly wired for 240-volt, 30-amp service.
Will this heater function if it is placed underneath an RV to prevent frozen pipes?
That entirely depends on the temperature outside and how much protection the RV’s perimeter has. The heater will lose a lot of heat if the perimeter is left open, especially in a windy environment.
Will this heater operate properly on a 50amp circuit with the correct plug?
I use a 40amp and run it continuously.
What height has the heater?
12.75″ tall
Does the heating element emit light or is it secure for a place where flowers are grown?
When heated, the case gets quite hot, with the exception of the handle, and it glows a dull red. My own is used to warm flowers in my garage when quite cold.
**Does the cord comply with the National Electrical Code’s requirement for 12/3 copper wire? 20–20.8 amps are required for 4800–5000 watts.**
The answer is that 12 gauge is too small for this resistive electrical load. The area where the 12 gauge is connected to the outlet will heat up considerably more.
What are the return guidelines?
You should be able to return it if you purchased it through Amazon, to be honest.
Anyone willing to share better pictures of the plug because the package photos only show side views?
Of course, finding the appropriate girl is important. You can ask a Home Depot employee for assistance.
Thermostat doesn’t run continuously or intermittently.
It can be set to turn off at a temperature up to 99 degrees Fahrenheit or for as little as one hour up to 4 or 5 hours.
I have a 440 sq. ft garage gym; will this be ample to keep it warm?
My garage is somewhat larger, 500’ish and insulated. This heater heats. It easily. I do keep a box fan running for circulation.
