SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
This product is a toy for babies of any age and is intended for private use.
All packaging and attachment materials are separate from the toy and must be
removed for safety reasons before the product is given to infants to play
with.
Remove the batteries if they are empty or if the product will not be used for
an extended period.
Remove empty batteries immediately. Empty batteries can start leaking.
Do not mix battery types, brands, new and used batteries, or batteries of
different capacities.
Observe and install the batteries in accordance with the polarity (+ / -)
markings both in the battery case and the instructions manual.
Dispose of the old batteries in accordance with regulations.
Warning! Batteries may not be recharged or reactivated by any means, must
not be disassembled, thrown into a fire or short-circuited.
Always store batteries out of reach of children.
Do not use rechargeable batteries.
Cleaning and user maintenance may not be performed by children without
supervision.
Do not expose the batteries to extreme conditions (radiators, heating pads,
hot water bottles or direct sunlight).
If swallowed, batteries can be life threatening. For this reason keep
batteries out of the reach of small children. If a battery has been swallowed,
medical help must be sought immediately.
If you come into contact with battery acid, wash the affected area with soap
and water. If battery acid gets into your eyes, rinse it out with water and
seek medical treatment immediately. If your infant comes into contact with
broken batteries or battery acid, wash thoroughly and seek immediate medical
attention.

INSERTING OR REPLACING THE BATTERIES
Inserting / replacing the batteries (Fig A)
Warning! Follow these instructions to avoid mechanical and electrical
damage.
The product works best with Alkaline batteries (3 x AA) which you must first
insert into the battery compartment.
Pay attention to correct plus / minus polarity of the batteries and their
installation!

Open the zipper on the back by pulling gently on the zipper handle.
This will open the backside allowing access to the battery compartment. -
Make sure the cuddly elephant is turned OFF by setting the switch (1) to the OFF position.

Use a Philips (+) screwdriver to open the lid of the battery compartment, once loose remove the lid.

Carefully and correctly place 3 x AA batteries (2) in the battery compartment (3).

Put the compartment lid back in place and securely tighten the screw to a full tight close.

Turn the cuddly elephant ON by switching the handle (1) to the ON position.

Close the backside of the cuddly elephant by gently pulling the zipper up.
SOUND AND MOVEMENT SENSOR FUNCTIONS
The cuddly elephant comes with variety of sensor functions, sounds and lullaby
songs to soothe your infant back to sleep. The different modes are controlled
by buttons in the arms and legs of the cuddly elephant. These buttons have a
loop function for easy usage.
Please refer to figure B.
The arm 1A: Sensor functions (in loop)
- Lullaby (Brahms lullaby) –> sensor function (see par. 4 )
- Sensor function –> lullaby (Brahms lullaby)
- Soothing sound (light rain) –> sensor function
- Sensor function –> soothing sound (light rain)
The arm 1B: Non sensor functions (in loop )
- Heartbeat, plays for 15 minutes
- Lullaby (Twinkle twinkle little star), plays for 15 minutes
The leg 1C: Volume (in loop )
- Medium (default)
- Low
- Mute (off)
- High
Note: To turn off the cuddly elephant, switch the volume to mute. After 5
minutes the cuddly elephant will turn off automatically.
If the product will not be used for an extended period, turn the cuddly
elephant off through the On/Off switch on the battery compartment (see figure
A)

IN DEPTH FUNCTION OVERVIEW
Sensor functions (1A)
Please review the below guide to use the sensor functions correctly.
The sensor functions work according to the schedule in figure C.
In the sensor modes, the cuddly elephant is active for 3 hours. If any time
during the 3 hours of sensor function, crying over 75dB is detected or the
device detects movement, the cuddly elephant will automatically start to play
the chosen song for 15 minutes. After playing the song the cuddly elephant
will return to sensor function mode for 3 hours before turning itself off.
The arm 1A: Sensor functions in loop

Lullaby (Brahms lullaby) – > sensor function
The cuddly elephant starts with the Brahms lullaby for 15 minutes, followed by 3 hours of sensor function. -
Sensor function – > lullaby (Brahms lullaby)
The cuddly elephant starts in sensor function mode for 3 hours and will play
Brahms lullaby for 15 minutes when crying or movement is detected. -
Soothing sound (light rain) – > sensor function
The cuddly elephant starts with soothing sound (light rain effect) for 15 minutes, followed by 3 hours of sensor function. -
Sensor function – > soothing sound (light rain)
The cuddly elephant starts in sensor function mode for 3 hours and will play a soothing sound (light rain) for 15 minutes when crying or movement is detected.
Non sensor functions (1B)
The non sensor modes are active for 15 minutes before turning automatically
off.
In the non sensor mode the cuddly elephant will not react to any movement or
sound the infant makes.
By pressing the arm (1B) you can easily switch between the heartbeat and
Twinkle twinkle lullaby.
Through the leg (1C) the volume can be changed to suit your preference.

Heartbeat
The heartbeat will remain active for 15 minutes before turning off. -
Lullaby (Twinkle twinkle)
The lullaby will remain active for 15 minutes before turning off.
Volume control (1C)
With the lower leg (1C) it is possible to control the volume.
The standard volume level is set to medium.
In the third position the cuddly elephant is muted and turned off after 5
minutes.

Belly light function (1D)
The button in the leg (1D) controls the light intensity.
The leds can be turned off manually by repeatedly pressing the leg (1D) button
or will automatically be turned off after 30 minutes.
The belly light is controlled independently from the sound function.

STORAGE AND CLEANING
Storage
Store the cuddly elephant in a clean and dry place.
Make sure the On / Off switch on the battery compartment is set to Off.
If the device is stored for a longer period, completely remove the batteries
from the device to prevent leakage.
To clean the cuddly elephant, ONLY use a slightly damp cloth!
Due to the internal electronics, the cuddly elephant is NOT suitable
formachine wash, soaking or submerging in water.
Do not clean the cuddly elephant with strong detergent.
