IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, DO NOT REMOVE THE COVER ON THIS LIGHT. THERE ARE NO USER-SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDE. REFER ALL SERVICING TO A QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN.
NEVER look directly at the laser emitter as serious eye injury can occur.
This symbol indicates that there is laser radiation emitted from this unit.
The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of “dangerous” voltage within the product’s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to humans. Users should exhibit extra safety when this symbol appears in this instruction manual and follow all precautions as they are stated.
- Read these instructions thoroughly before using this item. Heed all warnings. Follow all instructions.
- Disconnect from the power source before servicing.
- REPLACE FUSE WITH SAME TYPE AND RATING.
- This product is for indoor use only! To prevent fire or electric shock, do not expose this equipment to rain or moisture. Do not store or operate this product near any liquids.
- Do not store or operate this product near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
- Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding plug has two blades and a round grounding prong. The wide blade or third prong is provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit your outlet, consult an electrician for the replacement of the obsolete outlet.
- Protect all wires connected to this unit from being walked on or pinched, particularly plugs and the point where they exit from the unit. When removing the cord from the power outlet, remove it by holding the plug not by pulling the cord.
- Unplug the unit during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
- Allow the unit to cool down after 1 or 2 hours of continuous operation to prevent heat stress damage.
- When wiring this unit and all other equipment used in connection to this unit make sure that all of your equipment is turned OFF.
- Make sure the distance between the fixture and the lighted object is not less than 0.5 meters. Keep combustible and/or explosive materials away from this unit. Do not block the ventilation slots.

- The unit should never be connected to any kind of external AC dimmer. Operate only at intended voltage.
- Make sure the power cord is never pinched or damaged.
- Never disconnect the power cord by pulling or tugging on the cord.
- Never carry the fixture directly from the cord. Always use the hanging/mounting bracket.
- Before placing, installing, rigging, or suspending any product, inspect all hardware, suspension, cabinets, transducers, brackets and associated equipment for damage. Any missing, corroded, deformed, or non-load rated component could significantly reduce the strength of the installation, placement or array. Any such condition severely reduces the safety of the installation and should be immediately corrected. Use only hardware which is rated for the loading conditions of the installation and any possible short-term, unexpected overloading. Never exceed the rating of the hardware or equipment.
- ALWAYS use a safety chain or cable between the unit and overhead suspension truss to ensure safety to persons.
- Consult a licensed, Professional Engineer regarding physical equipment installation. Ensure that all local, state and national regulations regarding the safety and operation of equipment are understood and adhered to.
- Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. DMX Address Setting
In order to control devices individually, each device must be set with a
specific starting address. When receiving signal transmission, the devices
will receive channel control signals from the first address.
For different applications, the user can set multiple devices to the same
address or set a different address for each device.
If the same address is set on multiple devices, these devices will receive
data from the specified DMX channel. All connected devices will be jointly
controlled. The controller cannot control each device individually.
If each device is set to a different address, the controller can control each
device individually at its starting address.
Use of this method should be based on the number of channels used on devices
to determine a starting address.
This device has 10 channels. When you use 10CH, you should set the starting
address of the first unit to 1, the second unit to 11(10+1), the third unit to
21 (11+10) and so on.

IMPORTANT MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
When installing this equipment, make sure the distance between the fixture and
the lighted object is not less than 0.5 meters. Keep combustible and/or
explosive materials away from this unit.
Ensure proper cooling of the unit by ensuring there are no obstructions of air
flow around the unit. Always use the unit in a ventilated space, away from
external heat sources.
For safety, connection to earth ground on the power line must be maintained.
Before placing, installing, rigging, or suspending any product, inspect all
hardware, suspension, brackets and associated equipment for damage. Any
missing, corroded, deformed, or non-load rated component could significantly
reduce the strength of the installation, placement or array. Any such
condition severely reduces the safety of the installation and should be
immediately corrected. Use only hardware which is rated for the loading
conditions of the installation and any possible short-term, unexpected
overloading. Never exceed the rating of the hardware or equipment. Consult a
licensed, Professional Engineer regarding physical equipment installation.
Ensure that all local, state and national regulations regarding the safety and
operation of equipment are understood and adhered to.
Mounting Clamp Installation Instruction
If you wish to mount the Polaris 2 Multi-Color LED DJ Light to a truss, use a
mounting clamp (not included) for maximum security.
- Install the mounting bracket (included in the unit), and tighten the adjustment knobs on the side of the unit before installing the clamp.
- Install the clamp. Add a drop of thread-lock adhesive on the threads of the bolt to keep it from coming loose. Tighten the nut to full strength.
- Before mounting or suspending your light to any fixture, do a shake test to make sure all mechanical connections are secure and there are no loose parts.
- Mount your light to the truss. Add a drop of thread-lock adhesive on the threads of the clamp bolt, and tighten the wing nut to full strength.
- Use a galvanized steel wire of sufficient strength to attach the eyebolt on the unit to the truss (see below). Adjust the length of the steel wire to be a little longer than the distance from the truss to the bottom of the unit. This will allow the lights to be slightly adjusted after mounting is completed.
- Tighten the adjustment knobs (step 1) again, as the installation process may loosen the knobs.
- Do the shake test again to make sure the unit is securely mounted.
IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTES
- ALWAYS mount the light to a secure approved truss with sufficient load bearing capability to ensure a safe installation.
- ALWAYS use a galvanized steel wire as a secondary safeguard to prevent injury to property or persons in case the primary mounting mechanism fails. 12 gauge stranded steel utility wire will serve as an adequate safety cable for the ORION products lights weighing less than 12 kg / 25 lbf.
- This secondary safety attachment must not interfere with positioning of the light.
- ALWAYS ensure C-clamps are fully tightened with thread-lock adhesive and properly orient the C- clamps for maximum security;
- ALWAYS perform periodic safety inspections to ensure the installation is safe and secure
- Improper installation can result in bodily injury or death. If you are not qualified to attempt the installation get help from a professional structural rigger.
