OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
CHARGING THE BATTERY PACK
Your drill comes with a 1 hour fast charger. The battery pack for this tool
has been shipped in a low charge condition to extend battery life. The battery
should be fully charged prior to use. Batteries will not reach full charge the
first time they are charged. Please allow several cycles (drilling followed by
recharging) for the battery to reach full charge. Do not charge the batteries
in areas of extreme heat or cold.
CHARGING INDICATION
Connect the charger direct into a power source. Place the battery in the
charging base. The RED light will illuminate. The battery is now charging.
When your battery is fully charged the GREEN light will illuminate. Charge
time is less than 1 hour.
REMOVAL/INSERTION OF THE BATTERY
Before placing the battery pack in the drill, make sure the Switch Lock 4 is
in the center position. This keeps the drill in a locked stage.
Hold the drill with one hand and insert the stick of the battery directly into
the bottom of the drill using the other hand. To remove the battery, press in
the 2 buttons on the side of the battery pack (one on each side) and pull
down. This will release the battery.
SWITCH LOCK & ON/OFF TRIGGER
The switch look 4 comes with 3 positions. When holding the drill away from you
push the switch lock all the way to the left and your drill is in the forward
position. Push the switch lock all the way to the right and your drill is now
in the reverse position. To lock your drill, push the switch lock to the
center position. To use your drill, just pull the ON/OFF Trigger 5. Release
the trigger and the electric brake stops the drill.
INSERTING AND REMOVING DRILL BITS
Make sure the switch lock 4 is in a locked state (center position). Face the
front of the drill towards you and twist clockwise to tighten the chuck 1 and
counter-clock-wise to release the chuck.
TORQUE ADJUSTMENT
The torque is adjusted by rotating the torque setting 2. Your drill comes with
16 torque settings and 1 setting for drilling holes. When driving a screw,
start with a lower setting and increase the settings as needed. The lower
setting should be used for Setter materials while the higher settings should
be used for harder materials. When using a drill bit to drill a hole use the
last setting (shaped like a drill bit).
