Frequently Asked Questions
How long is the cable to the mouse?
The cable is approximately 1.7 meters long.
Can this be connected to multiple devices at once? I.e. laptop and desktop?
You need to plug the dongle into a USB port of a computer to enable it to receive the mouse input so I don’t think it would work. I don’t know if all dongles use the same frequency – if they do you may be able to buy a second dongle from the manufacturers but, perhaps pessimistically, I don’t think it would work. If it does, then it would logically move the pointer simultaneously on both PCs leading to a danger of inadvertently clicking an icon or link on the device you are not intending to operate. It will obviously work on each machine if you swap the dongle over. Either that or buy one for each machine
What are the length and width of this mouse please (at widest points)?
Not easy to measure perfectly accurately without calipers (which I don’t have), but say 93mm (3.8″) x 52mm (2.1″)
Will the midsize mouse work in a new computer build that has nothing installed in it?
Unfortunately, I can’t confirm if this will work unless there is an operating system installed. It is plug-and-play with Windows, Mac & Chrome OS, but we haven’t tested it on a PC without any OS installed.
Is it really 13.7cm long? and 5cm high?
Just measures mine & it’s approx 10.5cm long X 3.5cm high. I think they must have measured the length going over the domed bit.
How hard is the middle mouse button to push down?
The answer to your question is a very subjective one. I would say the pressure
required is comparable to most other center mouse wheels on others I have used
from Logitech and Microsoft. I suspect you need something requiring
considerably lighter pressure, in which case this mouse is not likely to be
suitable.
Does the scroll wheel tilt left and right for horizontal scrolling, please?
The scroll wheel does not tilt. It just rotates in the usual way.
Does any warranty come with it?
The scroll wheel on mine failed after 6 months. I am deeply unimpressed with the design & manufacturing quality of this product.
Will this mouse plug into the USB mini port on my fire 10 tablet, I can’t get the Bluetooth mouse to connect
I don’t know about the Amazon Fire tablet but if the port complies with the USB 2.0 spec then yes it should.
