OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

CHARGING THE BATTERY PACK
Your drill comes with a fast charger. The battery pack for this tool has been shipped in a low charge condition to extend battery life. Remove your charger and plug it into a power source. A red light on the charger will illuminate. Place the battery in the charger and a green light will flash. Do not charge batteries in extreme heat or cold. Make sure to fully charge and discharge the batteries on the first few uses to help the battery reach full charge. Please reference the table on the next page for battery charge status. (See Table 1)

INSERTING AND REMOVING THE BATTERY
Before placing the battery in the drill, make sure the Switch Lock is in the center position. This keeps the drill in the locked stage. Slide the battery into the front of the drill until you hear a “Click” noise. To remove the battery, press the button on the front of the battery down and pull forward. This will release the battery.

SWITCH LOCK & ON/OFF TRIGGER
The Switch Lock comes with 3 positions. When holding the drill away from you, push the Switch Lock all the way to the left – your drill is now ready to use in the forward position. Push the switch lock all the way to the right and your drill is now in the reverse position (used to remove screws). To lock your drill, push the switch to the center position. To use your drill, just pull the Trigger. Your Trigger is pressure sensitive so the more pressure you apply, the faster your drill will spin.

INSERTING & REMOVING DRILL BITS
Make sure the Switch Lock is in the locked state (center position). Face the front of the drill toward you and twist the Keyless Chuck counter-clockwise to loosen the chuck and clockwise to tighten the chuck. Your drill bit will be inserted between the 3 teeth at the end of the chuck.

TORQUE & SPEED ADJUSTMENT
To adjust the torque, hold and twist the Torque Setting located directly behind the Keyless Chuck. Your drill comes with 19 torque settings and 1 setting for drilling holes. Since Torque is what gives the drill power, we recommend starting with a lower setting and adjusting as needed. Use the lower settings for softer materials like drywall and use the higher settings for harder materials like cement or wood. When using the drill to drill a hole, use the last setting (shaped like a drill bit). When you first begin using your drill, we recommend keeping the speed setting at one. This allows you to control the drill easier and will work great for precision projects. To change the speed, just push the Speed Selector on top of your drill forward or backward.

BATTERY GAUGE
Your battery includes a power gauge on the back of the unit. To check the power of your battery, press the button on the back of the unit. Below is a table showing the power level of your battery. When your LED is flashing, it is time to charge your battery. (See Table 2)

OTHER USES
Your drill comes with an LED light that will automatically turn on when the trigger is pulled. This helps when working in dim areas such as a closet or cabinet. Your drill also includes a Belt Clip that can be used to secure your drill and keep your hands free. Your Belt Clip can be attached to the left or right side of your drill.

TOOL SAFETY:

SAFETY
Do not use power tools under the influence of medication, drugs, or alcohol as this could result in serious injury. Keep hair, clothing, jewelry, and other loose objects away from moving parts. Use the proper safety equipment when operating power tools.
Never modify your tools as this could increase the risk of electric shock or malfunction. Make sure to always ensure proper balance when using power tools. If your tool is damaged stop use immediately.
WORKING AREA
Keep your working area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas can lead to accidents. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite fumes and dust.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Always remove the battery before cleaning. Remove dust and dirt with a slightly damp cloth. Ensure that no water gets into the inner parts of your tools, battery, and charger. Your tool is permanently lubricated and does not require oil.
BATTERY USE & CARE
Only use the PP205 charger to charge your battery. Using the incorrect charger could result in injury or damage to your battery. Do not leave the battery and charger unattended when charging. Once the battery is fully charged, remove it from the charger. Abuse of the tool can lead to battery leakage. Avoid contact with battery fluid. If contact occurs, seek medical help immediately. Never attempt to open the battery for any reason. Do not expose your battery to rain or wet conditions. Do not store your battery in temperatures below 39°F or above 70°F.
