OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
CHARGING THE BATTERY PACK
Your scissors come equipped with a 1 hour fast charger. The battery pack 6 for this tool has been shipped in a low charge condition to extend battery life. The battery should be fully charged prior to use. Batteries will not reach full charge the first time they are charged. Please allow several cycles for the battery to reach full charge. Do not charge the battery in areas of extreme heat or cold.
CHARGING INDICATION
Connect the charger base to the DC adapter and plug the adapter into a power source. Place the battery in the charger and the light on the back of the charger will illuminate RED. When the battery is fully charged the light will turn off.
REMOVAL/INSERTION OF THE BATTERY
Once you have removed the battery 6 from the charging base, grasp the battery release tabs 7 and slide into the back of the scissors. You should hear a clicking sound. To remove the battery, grasp the battery release tabs, squeeze and pull away from the tool.
ON /OFF TRIGGER
Before using your scissors for the first time practice turning them on and off using the ON/OFF switch 5. To turn on, push the front of the switch FORWARD. To turn your scissors off, push the back of the switch DOWN. Once the switch is turned on, you do not need to continue holding the switch.
CHANGING BLADES
To remove a blade, hold the blade release buttons 3 on each side of the scissor head with one hand and slide the the blade release safety button 4 back with the other hand. To insert a blade, hold in the blade release buttons on each side of the scissor head and slide into place.
Warning: DO NOT insert the battery while the ON) OFF Switch is set to the “OW position, as this could result in serious injury.
TOOL SAFETY
SAFETY
Do not use power tools under the influence of medication, drugs or alcohol as this could result in serious personal injury. Keep hair, clothing, jewelry and other loose objects away from moving parts, Use the proper safety equipment when operating power tools. This may include eye or dust protection equipment.
The power tool plugs should never be modified in any way as this could increase the risk of electric shock or malfunction. The tool should be in a locked state when not in use.
Do not force use of the power tool. Make sure to always ensure proper balance when using power tools. If your tool is damaged stop use immediately.
WORKING AREA
Keep working area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas can lead to accidents. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres. such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite fumes and dust.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Always remove the battery before cleaning. Remove dust and dirt with a slightly dampened cloth. In doing so, ensure that no water gets into the inner workings of the scissors or battery. Clean dust and debris out of the scissor heads regularly. The scissor heads and motor come permanently lubricated and do not require oiling.
BATTERY USE AND CARE
Only use the included charger to charge your battery. Not using the correct charger could cause injury or damage to your tool. Abuse of the tool can lead to battery leakage. Avoid contact with battery fluid. If contact occurs, seek medical help immediately. Never attempt to open the battery for any reason. Only charge and store the battery between temperatures of 39°F and 70°F
DISPOSAL OF BATTERY
To preserve natural resources please recycle or dispose of the battery properly. This product contains lithium batteries. Consult your local waste authority for information regarding available recycling and/or disposal options.
