Installation failed

  1. Unplug the connector and wait 10 seconds.
  2. Press and hold the connector button until a sound is heard.
  3. Insert the connector back into the socket and go through the installation again, keeping in mind the installation tips below.

Installation tips

  • Make sure the 2.4GHz network is selected on the smartphone.
  • Wi-Fi name and password do not contain spaces.
  • Give permission for all permissions requested.
  • Does the connector flash blue when going through the installation?
  • Are you sure the password is correct? Click the eyelet for verification.
  • Make sure the 2.4GHz signal is Wi-Fi 4 or lower (802.11n).
  • If the above does not cause the problem, it could be that the Wi-Fi network consists of a combined signal of both 2.4 and 5GHz. By logging in to the router, the 5GHz signal can be temporarily disabled before installation. After installation, this signal can be enabled again. If you don’t know how to do this, you can contact your internet service provider. They can easily enable this signal remotely for you.

How does smart fire protection work

These products are continuously active, you cannot turn them OFF. Go to the devices page, tap the plus (+), the device list opens, find the device you want to pair and follow the instructions in the app.

Note:
The water detector lets itself be paired differently this is because there is no test/pair button on the device. We recommend performing it with metal scissors. The 2 metal sensors on the bottom must be tapped 3 times simultaneously. Repeated quick tapping of the 2 sensors simultaneously with a metal object is the quickest way to pair the water detector. Make sure that one of the contacts remains connected to the metal object. Then use a lever movement to connect the second contact. If this does not work, try by making the lever movement faster

Weekly test notification
If the detector is triggered, you will get a notification on your smartphone and the K2 connector will give a warning alarm. If the detector malfunctions you will receive a notification on your smartphone.

  • Weekly test notification: you can program the time and day of the week when you want to receive the notification via your smartphone, you can turn this feature on and off as required.
  • Go to the devices page and select the smoke detector, for example. Then press the pencil at the top right, you will then enter the general functions of the smoke detector

Testing via the detectors (interconnection)
You can test through the detectors themselves by pressing the test button. As a result, each of them sounds the test signal, you get a notification in the app and the test is recorded in the alarm log. This can be found via the message window.

How does it work with smart devices?
If an ELRO Connects device is triggered then you can attach an action to it. To give you an example, the window-door contact (the trigger) is broken. You are then notified via the app and the plug-in switch turns on (an action) lights connected to it. Trigger = set in motion.

Creating an automation

  • Press the white dots of the orange weekend scene and then “Add automation”. Follow the blue arrows and directions in the print screens, we will start with the “trigger” and then add 2 x an “action”.
  • When this automation command is complete then after the window- door contact is opened, the K2 Connector will sound a doorbell signal and switch on the plug-in switch.
  1. Select the “trigger” through which the action will be triggered. In this case, we select that the action will be executed when a device changes state.
  2. Select the window-door contact.
  3. Here we select that the action will be executed when the door is opened.
  4. Press next.
  5. In the next screen, we can choose the action that will be performed. In this case, we choose to activate one of the devices in the app.
  6. Choose the K2 connector.

Automation;
In a scene, you can create an automation that is executed when the condition is met. The condition is that if the status of the trigger changes, an action will follow.

  • In a normal situation, the window-door contact is closed.

  • The status changes because the window-door contact is opened.

  • The action that follows is that the plug-in switch switches on.

  • Devices ; here you go directly to the app page with paired devices.

  • Scenes ; here you go directly to the app page with the 3 default + the scenes you created yourself.

  • Notifications and device sharing ; here you will find all actions performed with date and time, also the information with whom you share the app.

  • Timer on/off ; you can set a timer per day or for a group of days, e.g. for the plug-in switch to switch on at 14:35 on Saturdays, Tuesdays and Fridays. But also, for example, to automatically switch scenes at set times.

  • Link on/off ; allows you to link the action executing device to a trigger, e.g. the plug-in switch that switches on when the window-door contact is opened.

  • Account settings ; here you will find your account setting and you can log out, the account is your e-mail address and password, see chap. 1

  • Settings ; here you can delete your account, change the password and add users, among other things.
