Battery Installation

Replace battery when LCD becomes dim or alarm level declines.

• Remove battery cover on the back by sliding it in the direction of the arrow.
• Install one 1.5V AAA battery observing polarity shown in compartment. A brief alarm sounds.
• Replace the battery cover until it clicks shut.

Operating Instructions

Count Down

1. Press the MIN and/or SEC buttons to enter the desired time. Press and hold for fast advance.
2. Press the START/STOP button to start counting down. M and S flash on the display.
3. Press the START/STOP button to interrupt the count. Press START/STOP again to resume the count.
4. The alarm sounds and the timer counts up when the count reaches 00:00.
5. The alarm stops automatically after 60 seconds while the flashing and count up continues. Press START/STOP to stop the alarm and the count up. The last count is recalled.
6. When timer is stopped, press both MIN and SEC buttons simultaneously to reset to 00:00.

Count Up

1. When timer is stopped, press both MIN and SEC buttons simultaneously to reset to 00:00.
2. Press the START/STOP button to begin the count up. M and S flash on the display.
3. Press the START/STOP button to interrupt the count. Press START/STOP again to resume the count.
4. Press both MIN and SEC buttons simultaneously to reset to 00:00.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you stop it from counting up in the meantime?

Yes… counting backwards or forwards. Simply press the “START/STOP” button once the programmer has begun to pause it and restart it.

Does this timer sound each time a button is pressed?

I have not used device in a while. I think it beeps every time; however the issue is that they are all hardly audible.

When buttons are pressed, does it produce any noise?

There is a gentle sound when you press the minute or second button on the timer. When you press the start, stop, and clear settings, the same thing happens.

Does the timer add up? For instance, will the timer restart at 30 seconds if I stop it after 30 seconds and then push start?

It does add up in both directions, yes. Additionally, if you simply push the START button without setting a “count-down” time, it will record the amount of time that has passed since you did so. Therefore, if you’re boiling potatoes but are unsure of the exact timing, just set a timer and check the potatoes after 10 minutes, 12 minutes, or whatever. These timers are the best I’ve found, therefore I have 3 of them. Good positive button feel, simple setup, cancel, and restart, audible beep, and readable readout. Additionally, unlike other timer magnets, it doesn’t leave rust stains on your refrigerator.

Does it resist water?

I have already thrown away the packing but it does not appear to be water resistant. Because the borders of the buttons are not completely sealed, water could enter and harm the device’s internal components.

DOES IT RESIST WATER?

I don’t think it is, however you can make it waterproof by putting the timer inside a transparent plastic bag (also known as a sandwich ZipLok bag) and then sealing the bag. On related devices, I’ve employed this FIX.

Uses AAA batteries to operate this timer?

The timer does indeed take one AAA battery.

Do you have to turn off the timer alarm before it stops?

Yes. After one minute, the beeping stops, and the countdown to 99.99 continues. In case you were unaware that you had forgotten the timer, this feature is incredibly helpful. How much is known to you.

Does it have a silent mode?

No, but I think it’s too quiet; it was on the table right next to me, and I hardly heard it! Thus, it might be exactly what you’re looking for!

How do you shut it off?

For one minute, the alarm goes off. When the timer runs off, it begins to up count and keeps going even after it stops beeping.

How do you turn the appliance off?

To turn off the alarm, simply push the start/stop button.
