PRODUCT FEATURES

The NexiGo HelloCam is a conference webcam that supports Windows Hello facial recognition technology and has an automatic privacy cover for greater safety in video calls.

  • Compatible with Windows Hello: The NexiGo HelloCam allows you to unlock your Windows device instantly using Windows Hello face recognition. It is easier and more secure than traditional passwords and allows you to personalize your devices.
  • Automatic privacy cover: HelloCam’s privacy cover will open automatically when you use it in a meeting app or to log into your system, and will close when it is not being used. This will prevent anyone from hacking into your system and using the webcam without your permission.
  • Facial Enhancement: This feature will adjust the exposure and gain according to the intensity of the environmental light to prevent overexposure or underexposure issues, providing clear images and videos in any environment.
  • Noise-Canceling Microphones: The two built-in omnidirectional microphones are equipped with noise-canceling technology to reduce background noise with an effective pickup range of 40 inches.

CONNECTING TO A COMPUTER
Step 1: Using the provided cable, plug the USB-C connector into the USB-C port of the webcam.
Step 2: Plug the USB-A connector into an available port on your computer.

  • Plug-and-play support will allow your computer to recognize the webcam within a few seconds.
  • If your computer does not recognize the webcam, try plugging it into a different USB port or restarting the computer. If this does not help, please contact NexiGo customer support at cs@nexigo.com.

Step 3: Open the app you want to use with the webcam.

  • The activity light will turn green when the webcam is in use by an app like Zoom or OBS.
  • You may need to select your HelloCam as the active camera (NexiGo HelloCam N930W Webcam) and its built-in microphones (NexiGo HelloCam N930W Audio) in the settings of the app you are using

Granting Camera Access
If you are having issues getting your system to recognize the camera, please try the following steps depending on your Operating System type.

For Windows

  1. Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera and turn on “Allow apps to access your camera”.
  2. Select the apps on the list you want to access the camera. When the app is open, ensure that you have selected the NexiGo HelloCam Webcam as the active camera and microphone from the list of available options.

For macOS

  1. Go to the Apple menu > System Preferences > Security & Privacy, and select the Privacy tab.
  2. Select Camera from the list of options on the left side of the page. Select the apps you want to enable camera access for. Click the box next to the app’s name to enable camera access for that application.

AUTOMATIC PRIVACY COVER INTRODUCTION
The status of the privacy cover is synchronized with the activity of the webcam. It automatically turns on when the webcam is in use and turns off when it’s not. You can also tap the privacy cover switch to control the cover manually while the camera is in use.

SETTING UP WINDOWS HELLO FACIAL RECOGNITION

Note:

  1. To use face recognition, you may need to first update to the newest version of Windows 10/11 using Windows Update. If Windows Hello will not work after performing all other steps, please double-check to make sure that all current updates have been downloaded.
  2. To set up Windows Hello facial recognition, you must first set a PIN.

Step 1: On your computer, Select Start > Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options.

Step 2: Under Manage how you sign in to your device, click on Windows Hello Face and click on Set up. “Windows Hello setup” will be displayed.

Step 3: Click on Get Started to start the facial recognition setup.

Step 4: Enter your PIN.

Step 5: Look straight into the camera while it scans your face.
Step 6: Click Improve recognition to allow for additional scans, or Close to finish the setup process. If you wear glasses, hats, or other accessories that may change your appearance, we recommend that you scan your face with and without them on.

Step 7: The next time you log in to Windows, the system will attempt to use the Windows Hello feature and the webcam to unlock the system. If this does not happen, please change the Sign-in options to Window Hello Face.

SAFETY NOTES

  • Do not place or attach the webcam to an unstable or uneven surface. Failure to follow this precaution may cause the product to fall which may damage the unit.
  • The webcam may heat up after extended use. If the camera is hot to the touch, turn off the camera and leave it to cool down before further use.
  • Do not use or store the webcam in extremely hot or cold environments. This may cause the webcam to malfunction. This item is intended to be used at room temperature and in a controlled environment.
  • If the unit is damaged, please exercise the warranty or recycle the webcam at your nearest electronics store. Do not attempt to repair, disassemble, or modify the webcam under any circumstance. Contact NexiGo customer support at cs@nexigo.com if you experience any issues.
  • To clean the device, wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. To clean the lens, use a dry microfiber cloth or a lens cleaner. Use only a mild detergent if necessary. Do not use strong or corrosive detergents to avoid damaging the lens.
