INTRODUCTION

The Auto Vacuum Food Saver removes air to preserve your perishable foods. Just press a button to form an airtight seal around the included tray.

SUGGESTED USES

Dry foods ­ Bread, biscuits, cereals, cookies, cupcakes, etc.
Fruits and vegetables — This device can help extend the life of fruits, vegetables and other produce. NOTE: be sure to open the dome for 10 minutes a day to release any extra moisture that is emitted from the food.

Marinating foods — The vacuum process helps your favorite marinade penetrate deep into meats, poultry and other foods for grilling, roasting and baking. Use it just 30 minutes for a rapid flavor infusion.

BATTERY INSTALLATION

This device operates on 2 disposable batteries (either C or AA). NOTE: Batteries are not included.

  1. Remove the Auto-Vacuum Machine.
  2. Unscrew the Vent Cap.
  3. Insert batteries in the direction shown inside. You may use either C cell batteries or AA batteries with the included adapters.
  4. Reverse the above stages and replace the Auto-Vacuum Machine.

OPERATION

  1. Place food onto the tray. NOTE: The tray is double-sided: one side is a flat tray, the other side is a deep tray.
  2. Screw the Auto-Vacuum Machine on top of the dome, securing it with the Vent Cap.
  3. Cover the tray with the dome, ensuring that the rim is clean and free of any debris that may hinder the suction process.
  4. COMLETELY PRESS downward on the ON button. The suction process with begin and continue until optimum pressure is achieved (approximately 3 to 6 minutes).
  5. Press down on the dome for at least 10 seconds during vacuuming to ensure secure contact with the tray. When optimum pressure is achieved, the vacuum will automatically stop.
  6. To open, COMPLETELY PRESS the OFF button to release the vacuum. This may take up to 10 seconds.
    NOTE: The Auto-Vacuum Machine has a built-in sensor to monitor the level of vacuum pressure. If the vacuum level drops, the suction process will begin again to restore the optimum vacuum level.
    PRO TIP: This device can be also used without the tray, i.e., on a table or countertop with a flat, smooth surface

CAUTION

  • This device is not a substitute for refrigeration, canning or freezing.
  • This device cannot reverse the deterioration of food. It can only slow down the process by maintaining food quality for longer time.
  • For best results, avoid humidity and be sure there is no water or dampness inside the dome

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Wipe with a damp cloth and mild soapy solution if needed.
  • Do not use abrasives or petroleum-based detergents.
  • Do not immerse in water.
  • Do not place Auto-Vacuum Machine in dishwasher (tray IS dishwasher safe).
  • Keep away from open flames and extreme heat.
  • Make sure vent is unblocked during use.
  • Keep out of reach of children at all times.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or repair this device. There are no userserviceable parts.
  • Please check and clean the air filter when you replace the batteries (see illustration).
  • Do not use the handle to swing or shake the device.
  • The weight of contents should not exceed 4.4 lbs. (2Kg).

TROUBLESHOOTING

If the device is not working, please check the following:

  • Are the batteries fresh and inserted correctly?
  • Is the table surface smooth?
  • Is the dome surface clean and free of any debris that could hinder the suction process?
  • Are you pressing the ON/OFF buttons completely?

IMPORTANT – FOR BEST RESULTS

  • The Vent Cap must be securely fastened to the lid.
  • Always keep the edges of the tray and the dome clean and free of any debris that could hinder the suction process.
