Overview
Using APC and Termination Board to provide power to APBs
To provide power to APBs, follow these steps:
- Place the APC (Antenna Power Control) on the side of the cabinet with a line of sight to the intersection where the wireless APBs are located.
- Connect the APC to the Termination Board inside the cabinet.
- For APC wiring connections, refer to page #2 of the user manual.
- Ensure that the APB is not installed upside down, as it will void the warranty.
Using SPI to provide power to APBs
Cabinet
- APC places calls into the traffic controller.
- 9-Pin cable needs to be installed from the APC to the terminals of the PED CALLS in the cabinet. (9-Pin cable included)
- 25-Pin cable needs to be installed from the APC to the pedhead outputs in the cabinet. (25-Pin cable included)
- For cabinets with limited shelf space an APC rack can be ordered separately and installed to mount the APC inside the wall.
NOTE: For NEW intersection installations, in the absence of city or other local specifications, Campbell Company recommends IMSA 14 Gauge (loop detector wire)

Using SPI to provide power to APBs
To provide power to APBs using SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface),
follow these steps:
- Place the APC (Antenna Power Control) on the side of the cabinet with a line of sight to the intersection where the wireless APBs are located.
- Connect the APC to the Termination Board inside the cabinet.
- For APC wiring connections, refer to page #2 of the user manual.
- Ensure that the APB is not installed upside down, as it will void the warranty.
Cabinet Wiring **

To wire the cabinet, follow these steps:
- Connect the Walk and Don’t Walk terminals (120 VAC) in the cabinet according to the terminal labels.
- For the PED (Pedestrian) calls, connect the terminals as follows: COM to GND, Ped Logic to Push buttons.
- Some cabinets may require a Jumper to be installed between the Grounds on the terminals of the ped calls.
